I know a lot about piercings.. ha ha. I have three in each ear, my belly button, a couple of unmentionables, and soon my lip.

You gotta be 16 or older to have anything done.. at least around here. Gotta have an I.D. and birth certificate. Make sure the place you go to has a good reputation. Make sure they use all new tools and make sure they have autoclave (the thing that cleans the jewelry). It really doesn't hurt that badly. It'll be sensitive the day after though. It'll be black from bruising. Just make sure you clean it real good. Dial hand soap turn it around real good and then put witch hazel on it. Just keep moving it to build scar tissue.

I know the process really well. I wasn't keeping up the cleaning too good for a month or so and it got real swollen and started oozing stuff.. so just make sure you clean religiosly.

Umm.. it takes 3 to 6 months to heal completely for your navel.. you can get the jewelry changed after 2 months though.

Thats about it. Just follow the places instructions and you'll have no problems. It really doesn't hurt that much. Feels like a pinch.

I'm getting my left nipple done soon. And I'm repiercing my ears as well. I've always fancied the idea of a nose ring too.. One of the hoop ones never a stud.

I know a guy who's roommate is a proffessional piercer, so for every piercing imaginable, I know someone who's had it done. As long as you go to a good place, your in good hands.

cheers guys! i should be getting some done next year but apparantly i heard you should have things pierced a while after each other, so your body can concentrate on healing that part of your body.
i was thinking of having a lip ring but i heard they can scrape the protective stuff off your teeth or something so i'm kinda going off that idea. I thing tongue studs look cool but they probably hurt way more and how the hell would you clean them? also food might get stuck, and that would be gross.

actually anything in the mouth heals tons faster than anywhere else. food can get stuck, but listerine really does the trick. but a tongue ring really ****s up the enamel on your teeth.. way worse than a lip ring ever could.

Ok. Here's a question for the girls. I have a friend who recently got his eyebrow pierced, and he says that ever since he had it done, girls haven't left him alone. So come on ladies, do you go for a guy with bits of metal hanging off his face? And if so, what is it that attracts you to that kind of look?

Personally I'd never get a piercing done, I just don't think I'd suit one, but I have no problem with other people having them, and two of my ex-girlfriend's have had the sexiest belly button piercings ever.

well, personally i have a thing for piercings, well maybe not all, depends on what it is and where. But i've dated guys with earings, eyebrow peircings, nipple peircings, and lip rings. But for me they have to be relatively small and tastefull, not like a huge gawdy peice of crap dangling in front of you, that's just creepy. Tatoos are the same deal, they look great if they're discreet, but if they're really noticable, or if they depict something really tasteless, it just looks trashy. Also, if you have a tat, it has to have some personal meaning to you, not just some picture in a book that you thought looked cool.

Any types of body piercing are always a risk no matter what. However, if you are vigilant and get it done at a sterile place, and follow the proper healing regulations as required, then you’ll have no problems, simple as that.
