Favorite Cologne / Perfume / Body Spray / Deodorant / Soap / Body Wash?
Smelling good is a must. What is your favorite combo?
I like Old Spice: Swagger body wash. For deodorant, I only use the blue kinds without aluminum. I like Old Spice: Krakengard, Swagger & Wolfthorn. For Body spray, I like the same as deodorant, but I also like Stetson: Black. For cologne, I prefer Tommy, Lucky Number 6 & Atman Spirit Of A Man. |

I remember when I was young and working at WalMart and a customer asked me to help her find "Body Powder" and I had no clue what she was referring to. I found something that LITERALLY had the words "Body Powder" on it, but she said that wasn't it. It was a bad day.

Because, well... sea water and stuff. lol If I'm going somewhere important and need to put on nice clothes, which doesn't happen that often, I'll throw a spritz of this on to complete the ensemble:

Simple. Irish Spring Sport for the shower, and traditional Old Spice for the pits and a few pats on the neck and cheeks.
One of the worst parts of the whole late 70s disco era was Brut. In hindsight, that **** was beyond repulsive.

Perfume: in terms of regular department store perfume, probably Anna Sui's original perfume in the black and purple bottle and Tom Ford Black Orchid.
Body wash: I love those cheap Caress brand body washes. They have goofy names but the one called "Passionate Spell" or whatever smells amazing. And also the brown sugar scented one. I usually combine the latter with a foamy verbena and almond cookie scented body wash + gardenia soap. Favorite Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab perfume oils (granted I've only tried a few dozen out of the 1,000+ perfumes that they have) - Maiden: "A gentle vision of purity, goodness and virtue: white tea, carnation and Damask Rose." Nosferatu: "We’ve finally caved in to years of requests for vampiric scents. As soft as grave dust and as dry as a breath drawn within a long forgotten crypt, this is Nosferatu: desiccated herbs and gritty earth brought to life with a swell of robust and sanguineous red wines." Centzon Totochtin: "The Four Hundred divine rabbits of the Aztec pantheon that preside over parties and drunkenness. Bittersweet Mexican cocoa with rum, red wine, and a scent redolent of sacrificial blood." Dorian: "This blend is an artful deception: a sweet gilded blossom lying over a twisted and corrupted core. A Victorian fougere with three pale musks and dark, sugared vanilla tea." Lampades: "The Lampades are the darkly beautiful nymphs of the underworld, also called the Lethe Nymphae Avernales. They are the daughters of the Gods that govern the many rivers of Hades. The Lampades are Hecate’s torch-bearers and accompany the Goddess on her hunts, quests and revels. Their scent is the crisp, inviting bittersweet tang of cranberry with smoky dark lilies, heady, sensual musk, a tingle of ginger and a brush of Mediterranean spices." (This one I typically combine with another perfume oil by a much smaller company which smells like autumn and caramel.) As for body lotion, I typically just use a shea butter lotion or something with a mild "oats and honey" type scent. Soon I'd like to attempt creating my own perfume, but I haven't gotten around to finding good suppliers yet. I do know I want it to include myrrh, benzoin, blackberry, rain smells, a green ivy/tomato leaf type note, honeysuckle, and leather/old book smell. |
