Once your brain has failed to make the leap of realising you SHOULDN'T be, one would presume you wouldn't be wandering around with the gun loaded, safety off, finger on the trigger and barrel pointed in your hunting buddies face, and that you'd have the intellect to decist in your actions.

But I presume it would be to much to ask of the second most powerful man in America to not spot one of these minor errors?

He enjoys hunting big deal, people tend to do stuff they enjoy minus their handicaps. Really this is being made into a bigger deal then it should be, it happens alot. I never said it was intelligent, but it is being blown into a bigger deal then it should be.

It would have been funnier if he'd been mauled by a bear. That shít makes me laugh hard.

Do we let people who are half blind drive on busy streets without any vision correction? No. Why? Because they could KILL SOMEONE.

If Cheney had, for example, "only" hit the foot, or the leg it would be a different matter. The article says chest and face. If the victim had been any less lucky than he was after the trigger was pulled he'd be dead. I personally would not want someone at the head of the country who is so willing to risk manslaughter despite so many signs telling him what he shouldn't be doing.

"People" do stupid things every day. But those "people" aren't Vice President. You'd expect him to live up to marginally higher standards than trigger happy rednecks.

meh, its amusing, but i don't think this is going to change anything with what he does in washington. if you didn't already know he was an imbecile, then you've had you're head in the sand for a while. accidents happen, in this case it happened to the vice president. but its still kinda funny that the republicans advocate guns so much, then this happens.

BAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA

I know it's not nice to laugh about this stuff but if anyone else were to shoot some one with a shot gun accidentially during a hunting trip they wouldn't make it on CNN. They would be lucky to get mentioned on local news. I do feel sorry for Cheney because of how the media jumped on his ass about it. But hey accidents happen.

How many people here have gone hunting?

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often.

That said, I don't see how this goes to the intelligence of a man. I can see it going towards the aging of a man and a man who has been going through so much healthwise the past few years. At least it was just a pellet gun and the guy wasn't seriously injured.

A pellet gun? It was a SHOTGUN. The guy he shot is lying in the hospital right now.

IamAlejo 02-12-2006 08:24 PM

shotgun PELLETS. And word, that's the first time i've really even noticed you mentioning the guy shot and not the vp.

Let's be honest, you don't really care about the guy shot, but more about how idiotic you assume this makes the vice president.
