Science hasn't explained anything any more practical or believable than the bible has.

the bible is for guidence, it is not to prove or dissprove really anything, the end of the world, for example, scientist have all kinds of crackpot thereys about how it is all going to end, the bible states how it is going to end, it doesnt dissprove the way scientist think it will happen, but the bible has had thingd in there that was predicted, but to be honest i dont beleive there is a code, it is just mere chance

I believe theres some sort of god out there, but i don't believe in the bible. If that makes sense. I don't know why we have all these religions either, if we, well most, believe theres some sort of "higher power". Thats what I think for now. Maybe something will happen and it'll change my mind somewhat.

Sound Devastation 06-22-2006 05:31 AM

I dont beleive in God, as i have no reason to beleive in god.

TheBig3 06-22-2006 06:25 AM

Are you telling me that everything you believe has a reason behind it?

Sound Devastation 06-22-2006 06:31 AM

not a reason behind it but a reason i beleive it.

If I believe in god then I have to refuse most Christian beliefs as they go against some of my ideals.

Because has anyone here actually read a bible from cover to cover?
If the Bible is supposed to be God's word then why is it that God didn't write it himself if he's all high and mighty and powerful?
The fact of the matter is is that every bible was published by some publising company and the Bible is actually made up of what a bunch of guys were told by "God" For all we know the guys that had these mysterious conversations with god could've been paranoid schizophrenics.
In all homesty though, I mean no blasphemy to god, it's just. . . a little far fetched.
And if god is real, then he very much overrated by those damned Christian organizations (I use the word Christian rather loosely) like the Jehovah's Witnesses or the dude standing in front of a tent outside a train station, holding a megaphone screaming about the end of the world and how we're all god's children and blah blah blah.

my thing with god is that if I choose to believe in him then I will undoubtedly hate him. One assuming I was born into Christianity or raisd with Christian beliefs, then i have to believe that god is almighty and powerful. But if he's so powerful and can do anything why does he choose to stand back and let people kill each other for one thing or another. It just doesn't make sense.

That's my 2 cent on that.

But I will add this, if you don't believe in god then you might say believe in evolution. I don't really acknowledge godbut I do believe that evolution couldn't have occurred without the jump start of some thing out of this world like say god. Or maybe a being as powerful as a god.
