Default Seriously wtf?

So earlier tonight I was talking to some old friends for the first time since middle school. We managed to have the whole gang back together aside from someone we'll call Jeff.

Growing up Jeff was a brilliant person. He had great grades, a sense of humor, was very artistic, and had a lot of direction with his life. He seemed like a real winner with a lot of promise and direction. Jeff honestly had the potential to be anything he really wanted to be, and I didn't think anything on Earth would prevent from this. So, I figured Jeff was just busy with whatever line of work he was doing but I figured I'd ask if they knew what he was up to these days expecting some kind of great answer like "He's in college getting ready to be an astronaut!"...but no. Jeff, the most brilliant kid I knew growing up is currently doing time because he's a creepy pedophile rapist with a meth addiction.

The news brought such shock that I'm still in slight disbelief. Its actually fairly depressing.

Wow! I'm sorry to hear that... Sometimes outward appearances hide problems and things people don't want you to know. I hope that made sense...

Good metaphor.

On topic, being a sex offender happens to the best of us.
Especially the best of us.

Wow a paedophile with an addiction other than kids...that's awful. Let him get on with it, not the paedophile part that's just wrong, but if he want to **** his life with drugs, let him get on with it.

It makes perfect sense, and actually makes me want to question the people around me. I guess its impossible to really know someone.

"What does that mean know me, know me, nobody ever knows anybody else, ever! You will never know me." ?
