Welcome back moonlit, you Irish gobshite. :)

@MJ...wouldn't it be more realistic to ask the question, is it possible to have a girl as a friend and be married?

MoonlitSunshine 05-26-2007 02:48 PM

hello to you too. popping in and out atm, exams coming up.. *sigh*

to reinforce my point, i think it's possible, as long as both parties have the same mentality. if one's lookin' for lovin', however, it won't work.

I have to agree that that. I'm usually 100 times more comfortable around a guy that has a girlfriend because I'm not worried about him getting the wrong signals and complications ensuing, which they have many times.

And of course I when i'm around single guys that I tend to turn into a tongue-tied, bumbling, awkward, fool because my mind is focused on not saying anything that can be taken the wrong way and just being as asexual as possible. And then that pisses my ex off because he knows that is not how I act around him and my girlfriends/close guy friends, which he tells me constantly is a much more interesting and likable person.

It is such a difficult line to tread. I am a manager of a juice bar and I had a Slovakian girl work for me for nearly a year. She went back to Slovakia to do her exams and we have been chatting on Messenger for a good few months now and she came over to england in spring and there wae sexual tension there-we both new it-yet i'm 14 years older and have two kids!

Nothing happened but she is due back in about three weeks and she is staying for a month-and our messages have never reached out and out flirting, but they have have an element of sexual tension-i'm really screwed when she comes over!

However-yes Males and Females can be friends but it is a precarious route and many have fallen!

^ Do you think she wants to "squeeze the juice" ???

Of course it's possible... I have several female friends, and nothing beyond that.

I didn't think many people on here could relate to that

No, I don't think its natural to be close friends with another girl after you get married.

Most girls assume if a married man is looking of other girl companionship (even if he says just friendship) that the marriage is rocky. In addition, girls instinct is to comfort person in distress, and since they believe marriage is in distress they will attempt to comfort you. Then girl will start to get attached to guy because she thinks he is cute and vulnerable. And the idea of affair pops in mind, which can be a rush, so they act on irrational urge and it all goes to hell. So unless she is a cold apathetic bitch, it is impossible to be good friends when married and it not lead to anything.
