I tend to think musicians who were known drug users, not just smoking marijuana, usually make the best music. I think that's more to do with the fact that they have usually lived rough and wild lives. I don't know how to explain this exactly but that's just what it seems like to me. I'm not in any way trying to glorify the usage of drugs or anything with this post because I'm sure the musician's that have fought with addiction and other negative things from this wild lifestyle would likely tell you straight up its not a good thing.

As far as writing while high/listening while high, couldn't tell you.

Everyone is different when they smoke (marijuana). There are plenty of bands that use marijuana recreationally and for the mere fact that it helps them come up with "good" ideas. If I had to come up with an answer to the question, "do you think it's a mindbooster?" I'd say overall it does make you think outside the box and for bands/musicians who do use I think it definatley is a "mindbooster" in the sense that it helps come up with ideas and such.

well my favorite musician of all time is Justin Vernon he has no real record (that i know of) of doing any illegal drugs, though he does smoke.

I actually find it harder to tpe lak dis bcuz i hef to think abt which lttrz i want to lev out. Not to mention anything typed like that immediately loses all legitimacy. This is why the world thinks potheads are idiots.

The one time I got high, it was to Taylor Swift. Marijuana didn't really make it better.

But on the subject, I find that anything music can greatly be enhanced while under the influence of Marijuana. There is no question that drugs have been a part of Music, and it has helped create in my opinion some of the best music.
