Got some weed. Will enjoy a zoot later. First time I've smoked since May 2012, and before that it was March 2009

Is there a difference between weed and bud? I used to smoke all the time when I was a kid and 99% of the time we got what I would call 'skunk/bud' which fucking reeks. Once or twice we got what people would call 'weed' which wasn't as strong smelling and gave a more mellow, enjoyable high. I live in Birmingham btw so we do have good shit here.

Weed is just a general term for the plant. Bud usually refers to the individual flowers that are covered in trichomes, but is also often used to refer to "Weed".

Good weed is often referred to as dank and medical grade.

Yeah I get what you mean with using weed as a term for all cannabis, I think it's probably just confused people where I live then. Although this weed I have here doesn't stink strong like 'skunk' will, is it just a different strain? I've actually grown weed before, flowered it and harvested it, and the buds were what I would call 'skunk'.

yeah its just a different strain. I've had great weed that didn't smell at all, and okay weed that reeked. It's crazy how much variation there can be for the plant.

Did you grow yours indoors or outside?

Indoors mate, I used a street light. It grew well. Didn't get as much as I should have done off it cos I was impatient.

By skunk, you just mean the smell right? IE: Not brick / mids, weed that is really stinky and high quality.

Skunk is an actual strain.

Think so yeah. Although I have never been able to tell the difference between different strains here.
