My friends and I are planning on getting a quad of shrooms and tripping in my apartment next weekend. Never done this before, any tips?

Clear the place of clutter and shiny looking objects that could potentially be dangerous i.e. blades, hide them away.
Go in with an open and clear mind, don't panic, stay calm and enjoy.

I generally take new types of drugs with people I know well and have experimented with drugs with them before.

Start early and with a small amount. Eat a cap, wait see how you feel(1-2hours). Test the waters.

Biggest drug mistake I ever made was gobbling down an 8th after having done shrooms 5-6 times. I had previously ate that many in one session but never all at once and it was overwhelming.

It was probably the scariest moment of my life. Bad trips are indescribable.

Only done them the once, but if you're feeling overwhelmed then don't clam up. Negative thoughts just spiral and get worse if you start being anti-social.

As long as your mates aren't dicks then should be OK but don't do em if you're nervous.

Have a beer before doing them and don't smoke weed if it makes you paranoid. Basically every time I did mushrooms we went to the pub and played pool then got some from shop and ate them, never had a bad trip.

That's about it tbh. Weed is gd for the comedown.

This thread reminds me I can go picking next month, I've been meaning to do it every year but never end up doing it. Need to learn how to identify them then will pick them . Anyone got any tips/adivce on how to know what I'm getting is not gonna kill me?

Just go with the flow and it won't be a 'bad trip'. If stuff starts to get scary or disconcerting just remember 'hey this is what I paid for' and enjoy it ! Not that a bad trip is very common, shrooms are a very forgiving psychedelic.

I wouldn't do what Dwnwthvwls said by taking a cap at a time, just take your half 8th or 8th (the latter is recommended dosage for your typical shrooms) all at once. If you spread it out it's not as good because you don't achieve the next level as easily, you just kind of maintain the initial trip.

Thanks for the tips guys. I feel like I'm mentally strong enough to overcome anything weird that could happen if it gets freaky, but I just have no idea what to expect since I've never had anything hallucinogenic before. I'll have some weed handy if I need to chill out and we'll probably just melt on my couch and watch Family Guy

I'm not sure if I'll have my girlfriend there or not to babysit but she would definitely not want to try the shrooms so if she's there it'll be much easier. My friends that are doing it with me are cool guys that I'm comfortable with so it should be a really good time

And I'll probably just choose to go all-in like Frown suggested. I'd rather not have to worry if I'm "feeling it yet" or anything, if I'm gonna do shrooms I want it to be intense
