i bought some poppers in camden market last week, for a laugh... sort of missed the boat when i was a teenager with solvents. made for a silly coach ride home with some shared headphones blasting out classic punk. also had a wee toke for the first time in many moons aswell... absence really does make the heart grow fonder.

In the last six months I've started recreational drug use again and I love it.

I've equipped my home with a sensory deprivation chamber and have begun to to grow my own marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms (and no they don't exclusively grow in bovine dung.)

Drugs are, when used correctly, a great thing, but need to be treated with respect. They are not for the young or immature. They are not for people with families or people who have obligations on their time and money.

However under the right circumstances they are a wonderful form of relaxation and entertainment.

I can't take any smoking related drug due to my seasonal asthma (****ing disease I got as a kid that gave me it) or I would have tried weed. I have taken a little shrooms and a little lsd, and I have had too many bad trips on shrooms to like it. Acid is either luckier, or I just am better at avoiding bad trips with it.

i think the notion of shrooms being friendlier because they're from the earth whereas lsd, the chemical, causes people to freak out is completely backwards. i think mushrooms are a much more intense experience that can be completely emotionally draining whereas lsd is more detached and less likely to make you really emotional, just very thoughtful. of course it affects everyone differently so i don't know if i can draw general conclusions.

i know from personal experience that if you're predisposed to depression then psychotropics are generally not a good idea, at least after the initial period of naivety... and as you've mentioned i think these substances should be treated with respect, you get the most out of them that way.

i used to have a to-do list of that sort of thing - never got round to acid and narrowly avoided DMT, which is fortunate otherwise i'd likely be in a padded cell right now. it's a damned shame to think i may go the rest of my life having never experienced either of them

I think a lot of stereotypes predispose people to certain ideas and misconceptions regarding most drugs. I won't speak for all of them, but I know most psychotropic drugs do not induce physical harm. The threshold level for overdose on shrooms, acid, or weed is ridiculously high. (There is only one POSSIBLE case of overdose on LSD, and the man had nearly 1/3 gram in his blood and a handful of other drugs in his system). I don't find anything particularly wrong or dangerous to experiment with those drugs, as long as you do it in moderation (and under safe circumstances).

On a sidenote, I have yet to trip on salvia. I've taken it twice (packed bowls both times) and it was fun, but I didn't trip. Any thoughts?

woodrose seeds are the hardest i've ever tripped. i took 14 and it shattered my mind. much more intense than lsd.
