What annoys me in general about NZ society is the alcohol culture. I'm not against alcohol at all - I like to have a beer while I'm studying and I enjoy getting pissed. But when the youth's answer to everything is to get drunk, being inebriated is considered a requirement for having fun, drink driving is rife and 14 year olds are vomiting in the gutter, you know there's a problem. Can't I just fucking enjoy my beer without some meathead approaching me and challenging me to scull it? Heaven forbid someone should actually drink beer for the taste rather than to get shitfaced as fast as possible. And when the All Blacks lose a game, wives flee their husbands because domestic abuse peaks.

CDs are 44100 Hz * 16 bit * 2 channels = about 1400k

I'm quite sure I wouldn't be able to distinguish 320k mp3s from CD quality... maybe I could distinguish 192 from CD quality... and I'm quite sure I'd be able to distinguish anything lower.

Not too heavily as far as I know. My mum is still an underpaid overworked nurse.

5. If you had to emigrate to one country where would it be?
I'm too unseasoned and undertravelled to know for sure. But England, France, Norway and obviously Australia all come to mind.

The only true fear I can think of is a fear of the sea. Deep water isn't a problem if it's in a swimming pool. But the sea is so open, vast and dangerous (in Australia at least)... it's not the natural domain of a human.

And no, I haven't conquered that.

A friend of mine taught English over there for a couple of years.
She said it was great apart from the fact it was one of the worst places she's ever been in regard to racism & sexism.
