At the theater, I used to have to explain to people that no, we are not a Regal Cinema and no, you can not use that free ticket pass that you got at Regal Cinema. Why? Because we are not Regal Cinema. You are essentially asking us to let you in for free because you brought in a piece of paper from somebody else saying you can. One guy didn't understand so I said "sir, if you owned a pizza place called Franks Pizza and somebody came in with a coupon they got from Bills Pizza, would you give them a free pie?" Still didn't get it. I gave him a free popcorn and told him to pay for his ticket so he'd go away. He probably knew what he was doing the whole time. Bastard.

Same thing used to happen to me when I worked at a gas station. Or when I switched office supply companies (I worked in printing for a while). No, we aren't Office Depot, but I can tell you where they're located. Oh, you don't have time to find it? Well, too fucking bad, looks like you're paying for my services at the same rate as every other customer.

I definitely think that some of them know exactly what they're doing, but I'd like to think that's just a little glimmer of hope in my soul that maybe some people really aren't as stupid as they act.

I wish I could see a comet, I've never had the chance or I don't remember any (I was 2 years old at the time of Hale-Bopp). The closest I've seen was Comet ISON before it disintegrated. It was Thanksgiving and I was camping with some friends in Ocotillo Wells partying through the early hours of the morning. At around two or three AM I could faintly see the tail of the comet.

I'd like to change my answer, because I've just been reminded of a fishing trip last summer.

I was out on the lake with a friend and his dad. We weren't catching anything, and the wind picked up. Some water started getting over the sides. I was in charge of bailing. Anyway, I managed to not only drop the bail bucket in the lake, but also kick it about fifteen feet away from the boat. We headed ashore early and endured a few frightening moments in the waves.

That reminds me of the time I was at the post office waiting in the line behind a guy who couldn't understand why he had to pay international rates to ship a package to Canada.

Am I the only one who's managed to learn the intricacies of putting on and removing boots without messing with the laces? Also...

Let's find out. Are we using your time machine or mine? Also, you have to promise not to make fun of sixteen-year-old-me's stupid haircut... aw, who am I kidding, you'll do it anyway, and I'll probably end up joining in.
