Scratch this. It's Keiji Takayama! The New Beginning and Sakura Genesis were just phenomenal works. If you haven't seen his stuff, you need to. His work makes me actually feel emotions unlike most other films.

I really did not pay attention to films this year but my bf says Blade Runner 2049. I haven't even seen it yet.

I don't know anything about photography really but my childhood friend's dad works for Nat Geo. He actually took the picture of the timber wolf snarling which became the Insanity Wolf meme. Last time I talked to him he was not pleased that it was still circulating the internet without ever having credited him. Shout out to Jeff Vanuga.
