1. If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

Same **** I already do. I need time plus money for it to really be interesting.

2. What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?

I’d travel to see live concerts and sporting events I’m interested in.

3. What fictional place would you most like to go?

Heaven (but just for a visit- I wouldn’t want to live there)

4. Who’s your go to band or artist when you can’t decide on something to listen to?

Beethoven (late string quartets)

5. What could you give a 20-minute presentation on with no preparation?

I probably have about 60 tucked in my memory banks leftover from teaching. Those are all history lectures. Probably another 60 on various musicians and genres. Japanese literature. The case for various causes like nuclear disarmament, moving past money, moving past democracy. Depression.

6. What amazing thing did you do that no one was around to see?

I failed algebra 2 and had to take summer school. It got out at noon and turned out to be great because it was full of awesome stoners from several high schools including a seemingly endless collection of new chicks. As usual a group of us gathered at someone’s house whose parents were perpetually absent. We’d get ****ed up as possible on weed and booze and make out and in my case mostly just pet on each other’s bodies - well one session got cut unexpectedly short and I drove home alone in Atlanta all ****ed out of my skull and this insane deluge of sheets of rain hit and my windshield wipers wouldn’t turn on. I ended up getting lost. I was in real heavy urban traffic and couldn’t see a thing. I couldn’t even see how to turn into a parking lot or anything. Eventually, I oriented myself and made it home without incident.

1. What was the last thing you ordered online? (If it came in plain brown wrapping you can be vague, nomsayin?)
A drawing instruction book since it's been 10-15 years since I've drawn stuff on a regular basis and I'd like to relearn.

2. Have you ever intentionally injured someone else?
Shoved someone who groped me down a small flight of stairs in high school. Nothing else comes to mind.

3. If you have a pet, when it comes time, will you get another of the same? If you don't have a pet, would you ever want one? (Answer only one part of the question, obviously)
Yes, I want all of the pets in the world, but I need to be in a more ideal living situation first.

4. With this trend for retro revival, what do you see as being the next thing brought back into fashion?
Early 60s equestrian boarding school goth-- OR-- 90s horse girl fashion (long patchwork denim skirts, clogs, and ill fitting horse sweaters)

5. What would you consider the coolest vanity reg plate you could have? (Even if you don't own a car)
I don't know

6. At the end of this year, what will you consider/hope to be your greatest achievement?
Successfully resisting the intense monthly impulse to shave my head

1. If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
I don't know, I kind of want to start an herb garden and make little tinctures.

2. What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue
Falconry, making stop-motion films, farming and cheese making

3. What fictional place would you most like to go?
Avonlea

4. Who’s your go to band or artist when you can’t decide on something to listen to?
Kate Bush

5. What could you give a 20-minute presentation on with no preparation?
Acne (it's my absolute favorite topic to discuss and research; I'm especially interested in demodex mites, skin fungus and rosacea)

6. What amazing thing did you do that no one was around to see?
Fed shrimp flavored chip thingies to some crows behind an abandoned building

You leave that hair alone! It'd be a crime against humanity to cut it off!

You can't call yourself a horse girl if you and your horses don't wear matching sweaters and french braids.

I probably won't, but it's so tempting. I don't want to look like a hideous bald goblin, but I'm also kind of curious..?

It's awful; I'll be happily chirping on and on about the disgusting life cycle of a demodex mite-- "they're always right there on your face! And then they explode feces everywhere because they don't have an anus!" And then someone will give me that look which is very similar to the "Stop talking about ghosts/parasites/obscure mystical herbs, please" look I'm often given when eating breakfast with friends somewhere.

I've contemplated rocking the bald look for a while but I can't get myself to do it. Though I do need a haircut.
