20 years earlier just to experience the things I did as a kid but as an adult and with more freedom. Might even push it to 30 years before I was born. Thousands of years ago just to see what it's like. The middle bit seems a bit crap so I wouldn't bother tbh.

1. What was the worst physical sickness you've ever had? How long did it take to recover? What was it like?
Woke up one day with petechiae, and bruises all over my body. Had to go to the hospital for a week. Can't exactly remember what caused it, but it had to do with a platelet deficiency. I just know that whenever I slightly cut myself, or bumped into anything I'd bleed for an hour or so, or get huge bruises. They had to draw my blood every week for a year and monitor me.

I guess having cancer might count, but it was stage 1, and I just needed an operation to remove a part of my body. A lot less scary than dying from slightly bumping into things.

2. Do you believe in any kind of life after death?
I don't, I want to, but I just can't see there being anything afterwards.

3. A supervillain has developed a terrible new weapon and is planning to eradicate all philosophers and intellectuals from history, entirely reshaping our current world. The supervillain has given you the choice of one philosopher/intellectual for him not to eradicate, thus our entire current world, practices, beliefs, and understandings will derive from the ideas and teachings of this one person - who do you choose?
John Cage

4. What is the worst possible death you can possibly imagine/describe?
Being eaten by insect larva from the inside out.

5. Is there a time in history you'd rather have been born in than our modern times? If so, why?
Mmm, I don't think about it too much. I feel like I would have died by now if I were born in any other time period before the 20th century.

6. Do you believe that we humans will successfully colonize space? If so, do you think that our technological capabilities will advance quickly enough that we humans will be able to distance ourselves enough from the Milky Way galaxy that we will avoid extinction when the sun explodes in 5-7 billion years (this assumes we won't be dead before this happens and there's no other ELE)?
I feel like there is a limit to how far we can travel, and there is no way around extinction. It will happen, and we will be extinct long before the Sun dies.

It's also the day that his longest piece of music finally had a chord change. His thinking helped shaped my own thoughts on what music can be, and I'm talking down to the basic definition of music. He was a brilliant man, and I love listening to him talk, he had this calm, and positive air about him.

I'll agree with you on that! He was a good, dear friend to me the last 20 years of his life.
I've been to Halberstadt to hear one of the "changes." Also, it's surprising how often the
changes happen on his birthday. There's another one that falls exactly 10 years from
yesterday. ...and, of course, it was begun on his birthday in 2001 with over 500 days
without (intentional) sound.

If there are ones, they've never been sent to me or brought to my notice.

I was considering putting Cage or Fred Rogers for my philosopher.

Lots of disorienting flashing and my parents said I thought people were monsters. You know how kids imagine stuff running alongside cars as they drive along? What I most vividly remember is the devil riding waves of fire and pills following us as we were driving to the hospital. My psychedelic experiences never included hallucinations that intense, maybe experiencing that at an early age prepped me for it or some ****. When my trips go dark it's usually on a cerebral level.

Why don't you want humans to colonize space?
I get the sense that it'll end up being an escape route for the rich to leave the impoverished with a scorched earth, especially if blood diamond musk leads the way. I'm also fairly certain that it would lead to interplanetary warfare within two or three generations of colonization.

Just the term colonization is loaded.

Hopefully this isn’t oneupmanship but when I was a kid I used to hallucinate like crazy - audio and visual ****.
