1. Which do you prefer, and why?

Country. Peace & quiet, fresh air, beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife, much less traffic, fewer people, less pollution, less crime, no graffiti, fewer neighbors, more personal living space, more available area for outdoor gardening.

2. If you were able to switch (country to city/city to country) would you?

I could anytime if I wanted to but hell no!

3. What do you like best about where you are (city or countryside)?

See answers to first question.

4. And what do you hate about it?

Nothing.

5. If you were/are living in the country, what animal would you adopt to be your friend/pet?

There's already so much wildlife to see and interact with around me that I don't feel like having a pet but cats and birds of prey would be my two choices. They're wonderful for keeping various rodent populations in check.

6. What do you think is your most important responsibility in the city or country (wherever you live)?

Respecting my neighbors, respecting the wildlife, and not trashing/polluting the countryside in any way.

1. Which do you prefer, and why?

100% city guy, which is why I enjoyed your "Contraflow" selection, rostasi

2. If you were able to switch (country to city/city to country) would you?
The Lake District is the only rural area I have ever been tempted to move to.

3. What do you like best about where you are (city or countryside)?

It's no coincidence that the word civilization comes from the Latin word for city. Things I like about cities:-
i) public transport
ii) museums, and other buildings that have architectural ambitions beyond keeping cows dry in winter.
iii) eating with cutlery
iv) your first sexual experience doesn't have to be with a goat
v) the chance to marry someone other than your cousin

4. And what do you hate about it?
City centers can feel suffocating at times, cue "Summer In The City" or:

Badly designed suburban fringes aren't very interesting either.

5. If you were/are living in the country, what animal would you adopt to be your friend/pet?

6. What do you think is your most important responsibility in the city or country (wherever you live)?
In hopes of not alienating Psy-Fi completely, I'm happy to agree with his good advice: "Respecting my neighbours" .
I also liked Cuthbert's down-to-earth answer too: "Put your litter in the bin and support your local team."

1. Which do you prefer, and why?
I much prefer the country, as it's quieter and more beautiful, though I do admit that while I technically live in the city, and on a housing estate, we're close enough to the likes of Fairview Park, Malahide Forest and have enough trees and greenery for it to feel more like nearly in the country. I wouldn't fancy living in the heart of the city (ain't no love there, I'm told).
2. If you were able to switch (country to city/city to country) would you?
I wouldn't mind living a little further out in the country but I don't mind where I am.
3. What do you like best about where you are (city or countryside)?
Where we are is relatively quiet, not too much pollution that you'd notice, and it's not as built-up as it could be. Not loads of traffic, relatively safe, a few amenities and a nice place to go for a walk if you want to.
4. And what do you hate about it?
Its poor (sometimes deserved, sometimes not) reputation
5. If you were/are living in the country, what animal would you adopt to be your friend/pet?
Sabre-toothed rabbit.
All right, just a rabbit then.
Or a fox.
Maybe an otter.

6. What do you think is your most important responsibility in the city or country (wherever you live)?
Keep Ireland tidy and be courteous to, and respectful of, those around you and your environment. Nothing more depressing that streets clogged with garbage.

Nah man it only dates back to the 1500s and came into more popular usage in the 1700s as it became increasingly necessary to distinguish from city spaces.

Return to ape would be more appropriate since humans think they've transcended their animal nature imo but I didn't start the meme.

1. Which do you prefer, and why?

City born and breed SE London but moved to the SE Coast UK in 2000 as the traffic was horrendous by then...

2. If you were able to switch (country to city/city to country) would you?

No I need to be living in the rural countryside, could never tolerate a town again, I would just constantly blow my stack...

3. What do you like best about where you are (city or countryside)?

Space and feel free as a bird.........except we have four hunting dogs now living next door with the F****** A**** that they are...impossible to get perfection of a location it seems.

4. And what do you hate about it?

Our closest neighbours are selfish and disrespectful to us and other locals...
Wrong dogs in wrong environment..nothing else as all the other neighbours are just so nice and friendly..Neighbours can make or break you...

5. If you were/are living in the country, what animal would you adopt to be your friend/pet?

Always had Cats and would choose Cats every time.

6. What do you think is your most important responsibility in the city or country (wherever you live)?

Respect the local ways & traditions...

links are good, especially if you lack common sense...
