It's not so easy with chronic pain plus injury after injury but I won't give up as I would hate to lose my job. I personally think you are very kind also, you can look past a person's history and see the good in them. I see the good in you! Hehe I am glad you like them, another cute creature we actually surveyed in a 1km block is Weddell Seals, they are really adorable:
I love that Weddell Seal - thank you dear Cella. I'm from the USA! USA! USA! Hopefully you can look past that and accept me regardless.

1. What honours/diplomas/degrees etc do you hold, or, how did you end school/college in terms of honours etc?

Zero. I didn't finish school, leaving to get my first, and indeed, only, job.

2. Who is your favourite fictional character?

What? What kind of a question is that? Who writes this - oh. Yeah. Right.

Well, in terms of comedy, I guess Mr. Burns or Basil Fawlty. In terms of serious characters, Judge Dredd, Jack Bauer and perhaps Saga Norén, from Danish TV series Bron/Broen (The Bridge).

3. What’s the longest you’ve even been awake, without any sleep?

About 36 hours I think. I was wrecked for days after.

4. A bird flies into your house/room/apartment/office: what do you do?

It certainly has happened, and saw me rush around with a towel/brush trying to get the bird out while Karen screamed and panicked. Successful all three times, the third being when Ritchie arrived at the door with one in his mouth. Had to first get him to drop it, then locate it in Karen's old room, try to pick it up with gloves and usher it towards the open window, a sound like angelic music playing in my head when it took wing and flew off.

5. I guess not so much now, or maybe, but when you buy or used to buy books, if your favourite author had a new one out, did you go for the hardback or wait until it came out in paperback?

I used to peruse the bookshelves in Eason and other bookshops. I would buy paperback books, and if a new novel came out that I wanted I would wait, as hardback books were, and I guess still are, too expensive. They're also more difficult to read at the table/desk than paperbacks and you can't shove one in your pocket.

6. What’s your opinion, generally, on advertisements/ commercials?

Bring back hanging for ad executives! God I hate ads. In the past there have been some good ones but these days they just make me want to scream at the telly. Which I do. Frequently.

I personally vouch for this woman, and will fight anyone who has a bad word to say about her.

1. What honours/diplomas/degrees etc do you hold, or, how did you end school/college in terms of honours etc?

Bachelor's degree, double major in math and computer science, graduated with honours and a 95% average. (My school didn't do 4.0-scale GPA.)

2. Who is your favourite fictional character?

I really like Sherlock Holmes and Columbo.

3. What’s the longest you’ve even been awake, without any sleep?

I want to say 30 hours, thanks to not being able to sleep on a red-eye flight.

4. A bird flies into your house/room/apartment/office: what do you do?

Take the screens out of the windows and try to maneuvre it out. Then try to figure out how the hell it got in.

5. I guess not so much now, or maybe, but when you buy or used to buy books, if your favourite author had a new one out, did you go for the hardback or wait until it came out in paperback?

I'm young enough that I've bought new releases on Kindle. I'll usually buy paperback otherwise unless I know it's a keeper for the collection.

6. What’s your opinion, generally, on advertisements/ commercials?

I use a very effective ad blocker and I love it.

Of course that's fine, I don't tar people with the same brush (SCOTUS hint hint). Which state if you don't mind me asking? I have a doctor from America and she is my favourite! In fact, her cheery personality completely outshines the Kiwi doctor and his daughter who owns the clinic, they have annoyed me beyond belief before. She's the only reason I'm still there.

*hugs*

It's really fun getting to know you better.

It's not every day the greatest living Irishman vouches for you. Thank you, TH!

*hugs back* ! And it's really fun getting to know you better too. Thanks for not tarring me, lol! I'm from New York. Glad you now have a doctor who makes you feel comfortable - that is really important, especially as you are dealing with chronic illness and pain and need compassionate treatment. Good riddance to that clinic owner and his daughter, you don't need that added stress on you.

1. What honours/diplomas/degrees etc do you hold, or, how did you end school/college in terms of honours etc?
I have a bunch of programming certs, and a bunch of college credits with no degree though. I was on the dean's list a few times at the university I went to if that's what you mean for honours.
2. Who is your favourite fictional character?
not sure, don't really have one. Neo? Jack Bauer?
3. What’s the longest you’ve even been awake, without any sleep?
Not that long compared to others I know. I heard people stayed up like 3-7 days. I would think the longest for me is probably 2 days. Don't remember being up longer than 3 days.

4. A bird flies into your house/room/apartment/office: what do you do?
I talk to it for as long its with me

5. I guess not so much now, or maybe, but when you buy or used to buy books, if your favourite author had a new one out, did you go for the hardback or wait until it came out in paperback?
not sure, I do know that there some books I have paperback, that were so important to me that I bought the hardcover of it.

6. What’s your opinion, generally, on advertisements/ commercials?
I hate advertising companies!

1. What honours/diplomas/degrees etc do you hold, or, how did you end school/college in terms of honours etc?

I have a college diploma in "microcomputer engineering technology". It's a stupid name, but the program was good. I did one year in university for computer science. The only honour I got was not having to pay off debt after I graduated.

2. Who is your favourite fictional character?

I don't think I have a favourite. I can name a few I like a lot though: Tyler Durden, Homer Jay Simpson, the Hanson brothers (not those mmmmmmmbop dudes, though I wish they were fiction).

3. What’s the longest you’ve even been awake, without any sleep?

Thankfully, I haven't gone that long, roughly 18 hours.

4. A bird flies into your house/room/apartment/office: what do you do?

I guess it would depend on the bird. If we're talking a hummingbird, cardinal, or a blue jay, I'd probably leave it be. Once it got outside, I'd try to set up some kind of feeder. At my friend's house a week ago, this little bird would stand on my kids' hands and eat seed.

5. I guess not so much now, or maybe, but when you buy or used to buy books, if your favourite author had a new one out, did you go for the hardback or wait until it came out in paperback?

I'd go for the paperback every time. They fit better in backpacks.

6. What’s your opinion, generally, on advertisements/ commercials?

They're a necessary evil, sadly. I've memorized too many of them. I wish I had that device from Eternal Sunshine, so I could wipe those stupid wastes of space from my head. I'd rather waste the space on other stuff, like trivia.
