My AC decided that tonight, when it's stupid freaking humid out, tonight is when it decides it should start spraying water and ice out of the vent. WHAT!?!??! It's an Air Conditioner not a freaking sprinkler system!

You're lucky it's spraying something cold. Mine just puts out hot air.

Blech. I would murder someone if my AC stopped working. I feel for ya.

Gotta love apartment living. Maintenance efforts are disgraceful around here. I guess I can't really complain, though... they haven't raised my rent and I've just signed my third year's lease. I guess that's why, though.

The AC at this house doesn't even work. Last weekend was DAMN ****ING HOT and it looks like it will be hot this week too...

My issue has been that the compressor has been working overtime and heating up so much that a stress fracture somewhere along the line created a freon leak. They're supposed to replace the unit sometime.

What I've been doing, though, is simply setting the thermostat so that it doesn't stay on constantly. As long as it has ample off time, it cools ok when it kicks on. Still not as good as a brand new compressor, but it's far better than if the unit stays on all day and simply doesn't cool while burning electricity.

Guess I could consider myself lucky to be living in a basement that is slightly underground, causing it to be cold 100% of the time, even when it's hot outside.
