I have Endometriosis and lived in excruciating pain up until this year (due to IUD) and people seem to think I'm making the pain up because you can't see it.

Yip it's pretty sad that people are so judgemental of other people's conditions. I'm trying to stay off opiates because they are addictive and shouldn't be long term solutions to pain.
