Wow. Just wow. I've never ever seen this kind of evil in people personally.

My grandmother has been with this man for 20 years. They are not married. He has had cancer for two years and it has recently spread to his brain. He doesn't have long to live. My grandmother has been taking care of him for the entire time and only recently has his estranged children entered the picture. We thought it was strange at first but now we know exactly what they want. Money. Because of the chemo, he has been very verbally abusive towards my grandmother. Tonight they were all at the house, a house in which my grandmother has lived in for 20 years and they were fighting because he was getting nasty. The kids, who are all obviously middle aged adults were there and instead of diffusing the situation, told my grandmother to leave her own house. Obviously she wasn't going to do that so they did what any good natured person would do and called the cops on her. Since the house is not in her name and since the one son has power of attorney for some awful reason, the cops had no choice but to ask her to leave. She got upset and wouldn't leave and got physical with one of the officers. They arrested her, put her in handcuffs and arrested her. Now the scumbags might change the will so that she loses her house.

I have no words for how evil these people are and I hope they suffer for the rest of their lives. I really do.

That's bull****, even when my mom's husband was an abusive drunk to my siblings, she refused to call the cops and try to diffuse the situation herself. We actually had to get the courts involved to get him out of our house. If you get a sensible judge, he might actually be able to stick it to these *******s. I don't know how your states laws work, but I'm guessing if you got a decent lawyer, and judge, **** would get real. Enough of that though, is your grandmother back with your family now?

I'm really sorry to hear that Exo

Jesus Exo that is ****ed! How could that happen? This power of attorney thing seems to be one hell of a weapon. Bastards. I hope things work out for your gran. Some people are just scum. As you say, evil. No two ways about it.

She spent the night with my aunt. She's distraught. She's convinced he doesn't love her and that this was all his doing. I know the man. He's a wonderful person who is being manipulated by a bunch of greedy money hungry scum. He's probably so happy to see his children that he can't see how horrible they are. Brain cancer is a hell of a disease.

We're lawyer-ing up. I will not let her lose that house. I'll go down in flames before I let that happen. My grandfather died two months ago. She's about to lose her partner of 20 years. She doesn't need this bull****. This is literally going to kill her. She'll have nothing left to live for. I believe those studies about people dying when they have nothing to live for. I'm going to put these people in the ground.

I'm no good with the pretty talk, Exo, so all I'm gonna say is that if all else fails this is why they invented curb stomping.

Yesterday I helped a blind, mentally (and physically)-handicapped person find the right pair of shoes while people stared as if I was making some sort of martian contact.

To those people (and the stupid able-bodied bitch who requested to use the handicap-accessible fitting room - to whom I said "no", but fuck her anyway) who couldn't mind their own business: fuck you all.

To anyone who has ever let a door shut in the face of a disabled person: fuck you, fuck your whole family, fuck your dog, fuck your car, fuck your life. And fuck you.

I don;t go out of my way to hold it open for them. Call me a bad person if you want but if I were them I would rather be treated no differently than any other person. If they are right behind me sure, but if I have to stand there and wait for them to get to the door no way, I think it would make them feel like a burden or showcase the fact that I look at them differently because of a handicap.

But if they are right behind you I would agree.

Well, I meant, if they were pretty much right behind you, or in front of you, or in your general line of travel. I don't mean like, waiting 10 minutes for them to reach the door (unless there's really nobody else around and you have nothing else to do) because that might be insulting to them. But seriously, if they're RIGHT THERE and so are you, it won't kill you to hold a door for them or help them if they need it.

(I'm sort of bitter toward people who are rude to disabled people - my mom's been in a wheelchair/using a walker since I was 6.)

Exo 12-19-2013 03:47 PM

The son just emptied out my grandmothers joint bank account with this man. 48 thousand dollars. And they also filed a restraining order on my grandmother.

I'm going to murder somebody.
