LiLs, I get acid reflux from time to time too even if I've been sober for a while. Obviously we're completely different people BUT one thing I've found to help is eating/drinking non-acidic things. IE avocados, almonds, milk or whatever dairy substitute (I forget if you eat dairy or not), and strangely potatoes or anything with starch. It could just be your diet.

I've stopped the hard liqour. Rarely drink beer now. This is coming from someone who drank for years straight. After neither of my parents made it to middle age i figured i should tamper with formula a little bit.

In the UK doctors are seeing exponentially more young adults with cirrhosis. People in the mid twenties. People who would describe themselves as "social drinkers" only. Media doesn't cover alcohol abuse. For every news article that has a new case study on negative effects of THC they will have one "1-2 drinks a day increases brain performance" or some BS.

This is just me deliberately scaremongering. I've effectively scared myself from drinking (probably due to weed induced health anxiety) and now i want you guys to be too!

Everyone can balance it with personal anecdotes, "my grandpa drank such and such every day and lived to be 150 years old" or w/e. Yes, i have those relatives too. Just saying though.

If your chemically dependent(like me) vaporizing weed is the way to do it.

I would cut back on the booze for weed if I had a decent supply but most of the stuff I've come across is ****. And I live in San Francisco ffs, I mean wtf with that yo =(.

yeah, my mom's cousin just dropped dead from an aneurysm in the aorta and my mom just had her gall bladder removed because she was also diagnosed with the start of an aneurysm (they say it's genetic) so the whole rotting insides thing really bothers me and I should honestly take better care of myself, stop drinking so much, stop taking large amounts of pills just to sleep.

I think this latest episode of acid reflux was brought on because I had a couple energy drinks the past couple days (for sale day) and I'm really sensitive to that. I've also been drinking a lot of fruit juice, which is also a killer of insides. blech. I'm a disaster.

I've gone pretty natural the past several weeks but the liquor is obviously not as healthy as the rest of the stuff going into my body.

the eternal struggle of someone who can't deal with sobriety.
