What is the role of the insula in emotion?
A) Love
B) Disgust
C) Anger
D) None of the above
E) B and D

I picked B. The answer was E.

His point was basically that YEAH the insula is involved in processing disgust, but its also involved in integrating physical and emotional sensations, so its role is much broader than traditionally thought.

But he wrote it in a way that precluded possibilities outside of "disgust" as an option. Ffs.

I think professors sometimes just put in questions they know students will get wrong no matter how much they know the material, just so the prof won't look like his course isn't challenging enough.

That's true; there are norms for every course. This is the first time I've ever had a grade scaled. Upwards, thankfully or I'd have my first 80something in three years.
