You guys are acting like an accusation of racism happens in a vacuum. It's a case by case that generally goes with the side of the accuser.

So if I were black, and I was doing a bad job, and I got fired. Would I be allowed to claim racism even if their was no racism coming from the employer?

New drinking game: take one shot each time someone mentions a vacuum during an argument on MB.

*there

You would need to justify it by comparing it to the way the other employees are treated. Either way, you're free to make the claim whether you're right or wrong. Remember I said that it's a case by case basis, not a fixed rule.

I think the point being made here is that while it might be a case by case basis, overall more black people are fired for alleged underperformance than white people, so white people get away with slacking off more than black people or I assume any person of color.

^That's a pretty rash assumption that holds no merit or factual evidence. Take into consideration how many managers are black, would they also be racist for firing a black employee? Or a white employee?

No, YOU'RE not reading my posts. I've already said that I'm not arguing about how often people get fired due to racism. I'm arguing that just claiming that something is racist does not automatically make something racist. Perhaps you misinterpreted my responses, since it's such a ridiculous, logically bankrupt, objectively wrong belief to hold, and your brain refuses to accept that this discussion is being held. Understandable.

White managers outnumber black managers. Also, there are tons of places that hire token black employees and keep them in subservient roles to appease customers. You see this **** in the food service industries all the time.

Show me a percentage to show that as factual because I've met plenty of black managers, black corporate workers, etc etc. The claim of racism is being thrown out based on opinion, and an extreme one at that. I could easily walk into a restaurant, and if they didn't serve me correctly, I could claim racism.

We had this discussion here a while ago. DJ v. Butthead if I remember right. I can't find the article. Idk, maybe white people should just stop having kids for a while.
