I get this every autumn.

In the morning, my breathing is quite bad, like I can feel it all in my chest and I am wheezing. The first couple of coughs are painful. Go and make some hot Ribena (blackcurrant flavour) and the feeling of the hot liquid going down my throat is amazing. It seems to loosen up the **** in my chest and soothe my throat, then I cough all the **** up.

It looks like little pieces of sponge in the sink.

After about 10/20 minutes I'm fine.

I've only ever seen it in the West Indies but it makes sense that they would have Ribena since they were conquered by the British and some things are just left as a remnant even though most islands(if not all) are independent now.

Yep it is. It's really nice if you're ill, my throat hurts a lot from all the coughing when I get bronchitis and this is the only thing that makes it bearable.

Strawberry and orange flavours are good but blackcurrant is the one. Still need to check blueberry, can't find it anywhere.

It comes in different flavors? I only know the black currant one by default. I had no idea!
