I haven't seen my parents in 7 months but why can't I live in a tent that is parent adjacent

my current tent isn't super nice (as you might guess by my bitching about the inoperable door), but it's whatever. When I came down here to Reno some months ago I didn't think it'd be so long and I left my legit tent up there with my parents and now I don't know where they are and it's pretty much impossible to get a hold of them. It was a three person tent and this one's just one person.

My sleeping bag is next level though.

I might've been exaggerating.

They have a phone but it's barely ever in use it seems, and while I've tried numerous times to create a dialogue it doesn't work. Like three times I've gotten a message from them, already so long ago now, but they didn't answer my answers.

I'm not giving up hope for that now either way. I can't afford to since I lost my ID and need them for a replacement.
