My Xbox 360 is back in the veil between life and death. Seems to work fine if I'm just watching a movie or TV show on it, but the second I try and play a new game the screen pixelates and freezes. The strange part is that if I try and play older games like Call of Duty 4, Fallout 3, or The Orange Box it seems to be fine. Oh and it scratched the fuck out of the copy of [Prototype] I got in the mail from GameFly so I'm going to have to get that fixed before I send it back. I'm just getting so frustrated with this system, especially now that the semester's done and I have the time to game out and catch up on all the games I've missed playing over the last four months.

I've been stung more times than I can remember.

In fact, this is the appropriate thread for a story:

When I was 6 or 7, I went up the hill to my neighbor's house, where my brothers and sister and neighbor's kids were "playing" (spraying a yellow jacket nest with a garden hose, unknown to me, of course). As soon as I came up to them to see what they were doing, they dropped the hose and ran. I didn't know what the fuck was going until I GOT SWARMED BY FUCKING BEES!!! Yeah. I ran down the hill, swatting at my back, screaming and crying until I got away from them. I got stung like 13 times just in that one instance. I was happy when my parents whooped my siblings' asses for that one.

As I was saying in the "Your Day" thread. I went paintballing. It was alright masks we had, but after 20mins or so of playing they would steam up, and you couldn't see 2 feet in front of you. So I was walking through my own turf (Attacking/Defending) to the marshall to see what could be done, and a guy on my own team shot me roughly 15 times (He says he thought I was from the other team), I've no idea where he shot me, as the pain from the shot on my arse was unbearably sore. At the start the marshall said I would be worst at shooting people, which naturally nobody believed. So as he shot me in the ass I shouted "I'm going to fucking kill you" whilst holding my ass in sheer pain and trying to shoot him. So I'm bitching about the tender circle of bruising on my bottom . Unfair. & after 7 head shots my hair has orange paint in it. I'm bitching about that too.

I just discovered my parents' new torture tool:

I have no voice, due to some combination of illnesses ... so my mum just stands next to me... and asks her usual questions:

Mum: So, you are feeling better today?
Me: a... (surprised at that very moment that I don't have a voice)
Mum: What ? I can't hear you?
Me: A .. do... v...ss
Mum: So you're feeling better? what was that?
Me: ma... a ...
Mum: anyway, so did you take your medicine?
Me: *nod*
Mum: so you need anything ?
Me: n...
Mum: you really don't need anything?
Me: *shaking head in disapproval*
Mum: Really? you're sick... you don't want anything?
Me: *Shaking continues*
Mum: You really don't want some tea?
Me: ....
Mum: But tea is good for you...
Me: *silence* -_-

... and she didn't realize that I got no voice.

And why the hell all the discussions are ending with her offering some tea ?! ... I'm seriously suspecting she's an undercover British tea-connoisseur.

This is why PC gaming is the way to go. Too many advantages to ignore. The only reasons I would use a console are if a) it has a game I can't get on PC but really want, b) there is a PC port but the console version is clearly better, as in better controls and such, or c) I was able to get the console version for free for some reason. But these situations hardly ever arise.

Last night I went and sat outside with my flatmates for about half an hour and had a couple of drinks before coming inside again.

This morning I counted a minimum of 42 mosquito bites on my body. So fucking itchy

And on top of that our tanks have run out of water and as a consequence I can't wash my car, which has turned from red to brown and is pretty much disgusting.

I HATE SUMMER.

As it's winter up here, and it's raining non-stop, as a consequence: No Cable Signal. I can't sit somewhere and have the TV off, this black screen is making me crazy!
