damn it.

an hour ago, wife sent an email asking if i'd like to go on a last-minute road trip to slovenia/italy with her and three of her girlfriends.

i had two thoughts:
1 - road trip with 4 women? oh god no!
2 - wait, if she goes, i get a whole weekend to myself. beer, pizza, video games, zombie movies... sounds good! but i can't let her think i like the idea, or i'll get in trouble.

after a half hour of volleying emails back and forth, i got in trouble. i encouraged her to go have fun, she said she'd feel bad leaving me alone, i said i really won't mind having a weekend to myself - then BAM! i got accused of wanting to "get rid" of her.

women are so impossible

Sound like she's kind of sensitive...I would of just said "peace out" and hit the road with my friends.

How long ya been married?

3 years. we're both sensitive and have a tendency to overreact.
plus i got ****ed up by a dog in romania last week so i'm a bit under the weather, so she's not keen on leaving me home alone all weekend

That's how me and my Mrs. kinda are... honestly, we are squeezed into this little Wisconsin apartment and for half the year its too cold to be anywhere... we encourage each other to go out and have fun, because we'd KILL each other... we're coming up to our fifth year of marriage, but we do have three kids between us, which makes a bit of a difference I think...

While we were watching TV the wife noticed that Channel 4 had misspelt the word 'tomorrow'. She was outraged so I gave up on the TV and came here.

That was 20 minutes ago...she's still going on about it!

After the best part of an hour, she finally quietened down.
But not before going off at tangents, ranting about how much people like that get paid and can't even spell...to overpaid footballers and the extortionate amount of money we have to pay for a TV license.
I didn't have the heart, or the energy, to point out that Channel 4 are self funding through advertising and it was the BBC that took our money. :/

It's gonna be a long night.
