Lateralus!! I've missed you bb.

Yeah it's bloody awful, it doesn't make you feel good at all. I had a massage therapist who works downstairs have a go at me for walking around upstairs (apparently too loudly). I explained to her that I have heels on my boots which makes it difficult to be quiet and she's like "uh well can you just TRY HARDER!" [insert catty tone here] Not only that, I've been working there three months and she's never ever mentioned this before.

Good on you for sticking up for yourself. I was teaching Statistics to first and second year University students for a couple of years and didn't have any issues with being so young. I'm actually going to get some more teaching work in Auckland.

What subjects do you teach? How old is your students?

Sounds like a cranky biatch! How dare you for walking around upstairs! I teach primary school, so it's not so bad Currently teaching the smelly, funny, little ones in their first year of school.

P.S. Missed you too!!! I miss New Zealand, too. I haven't been there for one of my snow trips in THREE YEARS!

Yeah, I've finally come around to that way of thinking. A year of craziness and crazy people pretty much hit me in the face with what I should have realized years ago. These days I've accepted that I don't like the majority of humanity (not necessarily cause they're bad, but I just don't enjoy being in their presence) and am rather enjoying solitude in a way that I never did before.

It's okay, dear. Just have some milk and cookies and everything will be better. There's a good girl.

It also gives you better perspective on what you value in a friend, as well. I've terminated nearly every toxic relationship I have and I am much happier for it and have more energy to give to the friends that I have and value. Giving my time to people I don't really like just makes me feel awful.

I know. The drama always ends up just being exhausting. I only really have the one friend anymore, but he's a guy I've known forever and is one of the only people I'm really comfortable being around. I'd rather have nothing to do with a good friend than go to a bar and have a night of getting wasted with a bunch of people who I may or may not give a **** about.

True that!

I think it's important to at least have one good friend who understands you and is there for you. I have several good friends now and honestly they're better than going to a therapist

A while ago my laptop was stolen from my workplace, which was devastating, but my work insurance meant that I got a new one - sweet! However the most devastating thing is that I am an idiot and I had nothing backed up. I've only just come to the realisation that I've lost ALL of my music and I have to start from scratch
