I don't know why you're making a deal of it being your friends sister.

That should work it your favour , not against it.

If I was the friend I'd be happy for one of my friends to date my sister. Because I know if he messes her around I know exactly where he lives.

The alcohol makes it easier for YOU to actually make the move. If it leads to drunken sex, then that's what you both wanted so deal with it or stop drinking. If there's no sex, well lets assume you're at least making out, which is more than likely if you're cool and say the right things. Get her number at the end of the night and arrange to meet up at a later date. It's not actually that difficult...especially if there's alcohol involved
