Default A question for all youz straight men

Can you name 5 good looking men by your standards?
I'm asking because this seems to be a fairly uncomfortable question. I'm not sure why, but it's assumed that straight men don't notice other good looking men (and/or are afraid to admit it?). I'm trying to identify, but I have no problem naming 5 drop dead gorgeous women (I'd go so far as to say that I wouldn't kick them out of bed either but we'll refrain from going too far for now). I'd also say that most straight women don't have a problem doing the same without putting their "womenhood" into question.

Can you shed some light into this phenomenon? What's it like for you?

This question is hard simply because I've never really looked at a guy the way I look at a girl. However, I think I could do it in a weird sort of way without questioning my manhood, but my taste in men is probably really bad considering I like my women to look moderately aged so I'd apply the same to men too.

So 5 for me...

Johnny Haro
That guy from House
Thom York (though I don't actually enjoy his music I'd imagine I'd find him cute if I were ***)
Richard Dawkins
Meatloaf sorta...

But you don't now because you're not? See, this I don't understand. I find plenty of women beautiful or cute, that doesn't mean I'd like to sleep with them. Why does it have to mean that for straight men?

I think contextually there are two different kinds of cute. There is like "aww thats cute" and like "awww, I bet I can manipulate her innocent mind with candy and then stick it in her butt, cute" and a gap between how we think of things. That is to say there is a seemingly more natural way to think of things from a more masculine brain, and a seemingly more natural way to view things from a feminine brain. Perhaps its a trait ingrained for survival purposses or left over from that era where we were more primitive and just haven't needed to evolve around it.

Well the way you're going to get better answers is "who would you ratehr look like, or aspire to be."

Thats going to be the real answer. Strait men, once they get past the chest pounding stage tend to be ambivelent to things they don't have to care about. If they don't like men then they probably don't think about it.

So essentially, heterosexual men are unable to asses the looks of another man? You peeps have some sort of brain defect that tells you there's not much difference between these fine gentlemen?

Cut the crap...I don't wanna look like or aspire to be Penelope Cruz but I can tell you she's one of the sexiest and most beautiful women in the world...
Now don't be such a pussy and tell me who your top 5 are...I promise I won't send a link to this thread to your drinking buddies...

i ask this question to my guy friends all the time
although its more along the lines of "if you were gay who would you have sex with"
most of them actually have no problems answering it

Well we can tell one probably lives under a bridge and eats passing children, and we can also tell that one probably gets more women, but its really not the same. To me it becomes like a math game. You can figure out by virtue of displayed traits who is more attractive but that is something else I think.

By the by I think penelope cruz looks terrible.

If I'm going to make a list I'd pick anyone who borders on slightly angular and odd. And spanish.

So for the obvious ones I'd go Deep and Beckham but after that its tough to even think up people. The one that ladies like constantly and that I cna't explain is Matthew McGounnbkjnbliausdfaf or whatever the hell his name is. He stars in all those romantic comedys with kate hundson...why is he hot?

I guess if i'm picking any of the others it would be Chris Cornell, Jack Kennedy and the supporting actor from No Country for Old Men. No Brollin the other guy. Javier something or other.

And why does the other get more women I wonder...Could it be because he's good looking? Just throwing it out there...
