Getting back to the original subject, I feel that there must be an almighty power somewhere. You know, opposable thumbs and all that. Let me explain. Scientists believe that the universe was created by a Big Bang (bass drum). Religious people argue that something must have been present to allow this to happen (drummer). Scientists say that it was mere chance that certain chemical reactions took place at that time (auditions). Religions argue that there must have been something to create these chemicals (original band members). Scientists say that they were always there doing nothing (singers). Religions say that something all powerful must have created them (guitarists who write the songs). As you can see, God HAS to be a rock star.

omg, i think i may no longer be an atheist! If God is a rockstar.. then woah! Jesus floats my boat!

both sides have gaping holes in their explanations. contrary to popular belief, neither those who support the creationism side or the evolutionist side can explain everything. It's been said by many that it takes just as much faith to believe in evolution than it does to believe in creationism. Though I'm not remoltely religious, and I don't really beleive in god, I do accept that there is certainly a possibility that there is a higher power, and that that power (whatever it is, or was) could have created the universe, simply because it would be ignorant not to realize that both sides have good points and plausible explanations, as well as huge holes in their explanations.

Yes, but you've got to agree that if there IS an all powerful er... power, it would be some sort of a rock star.

Was this thread supposed to be him wanting to talk to other people who believe in god...Not a whole disscussion on whether god exists or not...hm.

Hmm, been reading. I like the God has to a rock star thing, thats cool but I suppose everyone is allowed a opinion. The whole debate about whether God exists is really never ending I suppose, and quite an interesting topic despite the fact that I DO believe.
Athiests believe that the universe was created by the big bang, fair enough but that does not support the theory that it must have been created, by something or someone. You see God created the universe but a lot of people disagree.
Ido not entirely believe everything the bible says (making the world in 7 days or noah in his ark) because I belive those stories had different meanings.
I would also like to know opinions on whether God is man orwoman. The bible says he is a man but i think that this was only belived because the bible was written by men. Men are NOT superior to women. Yes the bible is sexist.
