Why is there no love for the North Eastern accents? No one saw Good Will Hunting?

Also, for our New Yorker pages back, you add an "ou" after the W in water Loser. And add W's into coffee, dog, and various other words that don't have them.

NY accents don't wow me, but I enjoy talking to people from there because its kind of...goombah-esque.

Or Gone baby gone perchance? Forgot to mention that, I think I might dislike the Bostonian accent even more than the southern one...the film was bad, but the accents made it far worse...:\

why would she joke. I'm from an old tabbacco/cotton growing southern family and Texas is definitely not considered part of the south. And I don't think Texas considers themselves part of the south as well (but I could be wrong there)

Does it matter if the rest of the world considers Texas to be the most prominent representation of the American south?

When I think of the American south, I think of Georgia.
I get the impression that Texans see themselves as separate from the rest of the states. Like they think they're big enough to be a country in their own right.
I've no idea where I got this impression from btw.
