Dude, news anchors do not talk like they're from Cleveland. If they did it would be hilarious though.

New York accent or Long Island accent because there is a big difference? I have a midwestern accent which I believe makes me sound slow and stupid which I would say is about right

I have both I guess-- personally I'm not even sure.

It depends on where I am. I lived on Long Island my whole life-- but spent the last two years in the city for college, now I'm back to the island.

I think both accents are simliar in some ways.

Long Islanders often think I am from the city originally though.

I was born in Manhattan but moved to Kansas(ecchhh) years ago but every time I go back there(I have family in Fishkill) my accent comes back for a short time...I still consider it home. I like all New York accents...

The most annoying American accent would without a doubt have to be Michigan, it is absolutely beyond me that I can be in Michigan from my doorstep in an hour and a half and they speak completely foreign.

As for my accent, I am Canadian. You can swear up and down that you never utter the word "eh" but you do. This and my pleasantness give me away everytime
