New York accent or Long Island accent because there is a big difference? I have a midwestern accent which I believe makes me sound slow and stupid which I would say is about right

I have both I guess-- personally I'm not even sure.
It depends on where I am. I lived on Long Island my whole life-- but spent the last two years in the city for college, now I'm back to the island. I think both accents are simliar in some ways. Long Islanders often think I am from the city originally though.
