Everyone I've met here in Cali so far say that I have an accent - I moved from Wyoming - but I think I just say things weird.

I have a cleveland accent, whatever that means. All I know is that they teach news anchors to talk like us

Dude, news anchors do not talk like they're from Cleveland. If they did it would be hilarious though.

New York accent or Long Island accent because there is a big difference? I have a midwestern accent which I believe makes me sound slow and stupid which I would say is about right

I have both I guess-- personally I'm not even sure.

It depends on where I am. I lived on Long Island my whole life-- but spent the last two years in the city for college, now I'm back to the island.

I think both accents are simliar in some ways.

Long Islanders often think I am from the city originally though.

I was born in Manhattan but moved to Kansas(ecchhh) years ago but every time I go back there(I have family in Fishkill) my accent comes back for a short time...I still consider it home. I like all New York accents...
