have managed to increase my GPA for this semester 1 point by simply spending 5 minutes to email my profs to round up my marks to the nearest half grade level for 2 classes

Also got an 90% on an exam worth 50% of my islamic studies course, I didn't go to the classes but crammed for quite literally an entire day before the test. Sure is nice when things work out.

Guess who just got the contract to produce a dollar baby from Mr. Stephen King?

Me!!!

I am so pumped!

I technically had already started pre-production (well, just budget and location planning, really) and the screenplay, but now it's official that I'm allowed to really raise money and cast actors and secure locations! Yeah!

I'll be doing "Everything's Eventual", by the way.

Going to start fund-raising on indiegogo and/or kickstarter as soon as the script is finalized, the budget is finalized, and the actors and locations committed. I'm not allowed to make profit on it, but I don't care. I get to produce a film based on a Stephen King work with his blessing! And be in legal binding contract with Stephen King! I am going to get so ****ty drunk tonight and tomorrow to celebrate - oh my God, you have no idea.

Best. Day. Ever.

Edit: Oh, in addition:

Freaking yes!!!

I just got my grade report for the 1st term of school this year:

Music Analysis: B
Psychology of Music: B
Elementary Music Education: B+ (<- that's the course I was worried about, because the term project was also the final exam: a presentation of an original arrangement or composition of a children's folk song. I did well with it though!)

I got accepted into Seattle Pacific University, The King's College, and UC Santa Barbara today, all three envelopes came at once.
I got straight A's this semester and got a 4.8.
I'm eating some delicious Dutch 2 year old cheese as we speak.

Congratulations to both of you. Doing well in school is certainly the way to getting yourself a head start in the field you will be happy working in.

Thanks! I want to be a teacher, and admission teacher's college after university is so competitive here. They like B's or better, generally.

We have a smart bunch of people here at MB!
