Being vegan is not eating dairy or any animal by-product. Just not eating fish does not make you a vegan.

Yes they fall into the same category, but technically eating fish is pescetarianism.

Vegetarianism is an umbrella term. But when you break it down, eating fish has its own category.

Simple.
