it's black pepper, not black beans.
well we put black pepper to add a bit of spice to the dish. you can also ommit it if you want if you don't want your adobo to be spicy.

personally, i prefer it with that cause it adds more to the taste.
and you eat it with your hands, best part is when you nibble the sauce left on your finger. God, i'm hungry right now. again.

There's substitutes! Check out Quorn if you need something like meat in your diet. They're probably horrible compared to real meat, but they're (usually) good sources of protein and healthier than the real thing. I intend to get rid of them when I leave home and eat more beans and pulses for protein, but right now they're the only food of that kind my sisters will eat, so I have to put up with them. Not saying they're not nice or anything, I'm just not a big fan of substitutes.

I know. Morally I've pretty much backed myself into a corner, cause I just can't justify ending another being's life just for food when I could survive on vegetables and fruit. But I love meat. I. Love. Meat.

Virgin, I can understand that you have beliefs about meat, and that's good for you, believe what you want to. But I'll spell this out for you:

There is absolutely nothing you can do to make me eat meat. I seriously doubt there is anything you can do to make other vegetarians here eat meat. Using religion won't work on me, because I don't believe in Jesus. Using pictures of meat on me won't work, because I don't eat meat and don't find anything appealing about it. So for your own sake more than anyone elses, don't waste your time.
