To quote wiki "The Kea are attracted by the prospect of food scraps from human habitation. Their curiosity leads them to peck and carry away unguarded items of clothing, or to pry apart rubber parts of cars - to the entertainment and annoyance of human observers. They are often described as "cheeky"."

I watched them rip a mini bus to shreds one day. Awesome effort. Also thieve hot chips off Japanese tourists who all jumped up screaming when one landed near them. They left the bucket of chips on the table while jumping around like clowns and the Kea cleared off with a tasty snack, bucket and all.

Go the Kea!

haha, i love those little bastards. I watched a few of them tear off all the sealant from a car's window. a buddy of mine told me he saw four of them working away at the pressure valves of a truck's tires, one bird to each tire.

our favorite pass-time going up the lift at treble cone was to bring up a load of snowballs and hurl them at the keas. except Gimpy and Beaky, they were awesome. the two of em hung out all the time together, we recognized them as gimpy only had one leg and Beaky's beak was all ****ed up.

Haa haa! One of the lifty's I was talking to one day at Mt Hutt told me that they got to know them individually.

Treble Cone hey! I went up there to ski and it was a white out. Had to head back to Queenstown and drink instead.

I went up a club field called Cheeseman and they handed out nets to all the bus's that came up because of the Kea's. The members had their own nets. They where not stupid.

Gee I miss skiing. I have not been in over 10 years. The laid back attitude in NZ was always the best even if there was no on field accommodation but the pubs and the ladies sure made up for that.

And I miss the Kea's. They rule their own world and know it.

In America you'd be force-fed shit pies for actually advocating statements like that.

I'd like to complain that my own future looks rather bleak: two more years sitting at a desk studying to prepare for thirty-five of sitting at a desk and working. Awesome.

Acoustica Mixcraft, Cakewalk and Fruity Loops all work well... both cost a bit but can be obtained via.. other means

(p.s. I mean the internet)
