I know 99.10% of people on here could care less, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to give my reasoning. I probably should have included it in my original post... oh well. |

Bruce Lee
How about Bruce Lee? He was one bad ass Fother Mucker! I was disappointed when Muhammad Ali was named the greatest athlete of the last century instead of Bruce Lee. Lee has applied to the modern day everything from energy supplements to free style fighting. Someone like Lee only comes around every 100 to 500+ years (a pure fighting warrior). He's the baddest Fother Mucker since Achilles or Alexander The Great.

Im not saying Wooster isnt a great guy or doesnt influence people, but certainly not on the scale others on this list do or did. And if you havnt reached that many people then we dont yet know how cool you really are. @necro: Dont count him out, I have 41 to go!

Fair enough. Dave Chappelle has never really been my thing. He's definitely a funny guy, and actually lives within 10 minutes of my Aunt's house in Ohio. I even saw him! But never really thought of him as anything special. When it comes to comedians, I think my personal favorite would be Louis CK.

#9 Name: Leo Fender Profession: All Around Music Baddass Inventor Life: August 10, 1909 – March 21, 1991 If you enjoy listening to amplified music, which in 2012 is pretty much everyone ever, then you have this man to thank. For those who didnt now the Telecaster was the first solid body electric guitar ever produced on any type of substantial scale. The design was radical and created amplified music as we know it today. These solid guitars could handle volume/distortion like nothing previously could, as well as being by far the most easily customizable and easy to make guitars to date. He created many variations of the original Fender including Strats/Jags/P and JBasses and not to mention Fender Amplifiers. Over 50 years later this mans inventions are still the most sought after and prized possessions of nearly every musician out there including myself. The beauty of plugging a Fender into a Fender is an experience the one must have at some point before being able to die happy. Below is a cool video with George Fullerton talking about Leo and his office at G and L which was the company he started after fender was bought out.

I agree, I always thought of him as a schmuck who went with his gut rather than his brain (which makes sense, he never struck me as a very intelligent guy in the first place). His arrogance, and open defiance agaisnt anyone who didn't share his viewpoint wins him no points either.
