Born and bred in downtown Toronto, but now I'm at Mac in Hamilton, so I live there during the week. I still feel like an alien in Hamilton. I usually go back to Toronto every weekend. Thankfully it's only one train ride away :D

So where are you? In Ontario?

Ana 03-24-2010 07:44 AM

Zagreb, Croatia.

I've been several places but I'm currently in Monterey, CA. Land of tourists, homeless people, and more tourists.

And seagulls. I love feeding them by hand even though I know it's not a good thing to do.

I noticed that the OC area had a lot of seagulls. A LOT. Even more than here. I have a pretty vivid memory of being down in Newport Beach with my cousins, feeding shoestring fries from our picnic lunch to the millions of seagulls present.

I've been there, but only briefly for a connecting flight.

Monterey is absolutely crazy with wildlife, though. The birds walk on the sidewalk and really don't give a damn. They linger everywhere and just...wait. It's sort of amusing (and sad) to watch them fight over the things people toss at them.

Isn't Monterey where Hitchcock filmed The Birds?

Burning Down 05-10-2012 09:06 AM

San Diego had a lot of seagulls as well. I even noticed that ones around the area of MCAS Miramar (like in Mira Mesa or something) were totally unfazed by fighter jets landing and taking off.

Live in North West England. Between Preston and Wigan is probably the easiest way to describe it!

New Jersey. I'm about 25 minutes northeast of NYC if there is no traffic. I can see the skyline from my house which is on top of a "mountain". It's a hill.

San Marcos, California. It's in San Diego's North County, and we're a bit inland. Nice, uninteresting weather every day.

New York City, born and raised. Moved around the five boroughs but it has always been my home. I call the Big Apple my playground.
