I'm originally from Boston, Massachusetts and currently live in San Jose, California. I've never lived outside the US but my wife and I are hoping to change that at some point in the next few years.

Bulldog 02-26-2009 04:44 PM

Living in Bolton at the moment, which is basically a suburb of Manchester when all's said and done. I've had homes practically all over the UK in the past though (Aberdeen's the coolest place I've lived in so far).

Judging from pics I've seen, Aberdeen seems like a pretty cool place.

Sydney was my entry point into the world where I lived for half my life and I've spent the rest of it in NZ. After uni I'll probably move over to the UK and roam around Europe for a while.

It's the only borough I've never been to so I don't know if I agree or not.

SI is terribly superficial and ignorant, for the most part. Thats what Staten Islanders are stereotyped as anyway.

That's funny. I had never heard that stereotype but it totally fits the only guy I know from Staten Island.

BoopieJones 02-26-2009 06:03 PM

It totally fits almost every person here...expecially the younger ones.

Did I mention self absorbed and overly consumed with self tanning until your skin is orange?

I hate this country
It's hot and horrible
The rest of the world thinks I'm like Steve Irwin
in reality 95% of the population are uneducated nasal arseholes.
It's a cultural backwater apart from inner city melbourne.
The only thing that could be considered good here, is the beach, and I hate the beach.

So Melbourne is more of a cultural center than Sydney?

And, hey, don't sell Australia short. Some of my favorite musicians are from there, it can't be too bad.

Dude...why does Texas catch such a bad case on this forum? It's really not that bad here. Yes, we have some backwoods redneck crazies and it's two degrees hotter than the deepest pits of hell in the summer, but we also have plenty of culturally, intellectually, and historically interesting things here. It's like everyone thinks Texas is full of drunken idiots singing bad country music whose idea of a good time is going cow-tipping.

Born inner city Pittsburgh.
Currently in State College, Pennsylvania.
Probably gonna move somewhere out west upon graduation (Fort Collins or Colorado Springs seem kickass).

I think I would lose my mind in Colorado Springs being surrounded by that many conservative religious fanatics, but whatever floats your boat my friend. :p:

Colorado as a whole is a pretty red state but if you're familiar with Pennsylvania (especially where I live) you'll know it's not far from that. Proximity to mountainous areas is always great too.

If I had the money, I'd probably live in the desert but there isn't much potential employment working for me there. =/

And just as long as it's not Utah, anything's fine by me.
