Have you tried mahi mahi? You might like seared ahi tuna steaks as well.

Had a tuna steak once. Really enjoyed it but I haven't tried it since.

I would probably at least try adding to a curry and marinade whatever fish is used before cooking.

How would you prepare fish for someone who doesn't like fish but wants to incorporate more into their diet? Me, it's me, I hate fish. Love most seafood, love sushi, but outside of frying cod for fish tacos I have no idea what I'm doing.

Steph, come to San Diego and I'll buy you lunch at this place. You'll walk away not only loving me, but loving fish for the rest of your life.

It's the fishy taste I can't stand, I've tried baking trout and salmon in the way you suggested but it doesn't help with the fishiness. I don't know if hiding it in dishes will work for me, I'm considering making a fish curry or something but tbh I'd rather be able to pick around it rather than ruin an entire curry with a fishy taste.

Weird that you like sushi.
Good, fresh sushi isn't that fishy, but still...

This really is the problem.. People have such low quality standards for fish, they think supermarket fish sushi is good. If they only knew why the expense was worth every penny.

A nice cut of fresh toro literally melts in your mouth and it's ****ing amazing.

yeah i don't **** with supermarket sushi but there are a lot of good sushi places around here. I definitely like tuna but haven't tried cooking with it, I'll start there.

Word. Also anyone who's been to a sushi restaurant without trying eel should rethink their lives.

I'm at my most adventurous when eating sushi, I'll try anything. I'm typically super picky.

edit - tbh tho i'm only in it for the pickled ginger

Find a place that has fresh sea urchin.. it looks like baby ****, has a snot like texture, and it tastes like the ocean. It's also fantastic when fresh.. you'll probbaly hate it (i did the first time), but it grew on me. It was a staple when I was eating sushi.

Also, masago with a quail egg is probably my absolute favorite sushi:

Oh, also, I never responded to you.. Chia pudding is in fact bomb. I pour the almond milk before I leave for work(about a 40 minute drive), so I basically have cereal chia pudding every morning.
