My sexual partner list was at 1 until just a few weeks, obviously that one being the girl I dated for 5 years and lived with for 3. I loved her a whole bunch (and still think she's great) but she wasn't exactly the most interesting person in bed, usually things were kind of formulaic with me just kinda waiting for her to undress and lay down and there wasn't much buildup or foreplay or anything.

But over Thanksgiving break I met a new girl who's considerably different in this respect and it's been kind of...eye opening I guess is the right phrase. She loves foreplay (the giving part too, even!) and is into all kinds of interesting stuff like choking and hair pulling, things that would have gotten me a night on the couch if I dared try with the ex. Might sound awful but I kind of forgot what it was like to be excited that something new and crazy would happen during sex since for ~4 straight years it was mostly vanilla with little variation besides the positions.

So yeah that's been fun, experiencing someone new has been really great.

I kinda know where you're coming from. I got bored of having sex with my wife. I don't know why. She was beautiful and intelligent and I loved her, but soon as we tied the knot, a switch got flicked in my silly little head and I lost all interest in her. Left her within 12 months. I'm not proud of that, but it happened. :(

That was twelve years ago or so. Not had sex since. Haha.
