sure vasectomies can be had by anyone. as someone who is not past the age of wanting kids i think it would be pretty stupid to get a vasectomy. then later down the road decide i want kids and have to try to get a reversal which arent always succesful. the mayo clinic has very varied stats on pregnancy rates following reversals and i wouldnt want to put my prospects of fatherhood at risk like that. but to each their own, whatever works for u i guess
Well my last girlfriend developed clots in her leg as a direct hit from birth control so as you can see it does harm people. Yeah it works just fine for me.

The only issue with young men getting vasectomies is the possibility that they may want children in the future. And by young I mean under 30.

sorry to hear. its healthy for thousands of women though and to me it sounded like you were saying that health complications were inevitable. if you were assuming i was suggesting it bc pills have never harmed anyone then u would be incorrect

also good for u

I think increased risk of cancer is a bad enough option. But most women over time are subject to increased likelihood of blood pressure issues also. Granted this is over lifetimes on most test subjects, but the likelihood that someone I love could be effected to that degree is a no brainer.

Absolutely life is good.

it sounds like a crapshoot to me. increases chances on certain cancer, decresaes chances in others. not sure if there is always causation either maybe just correlation. theres a lot of factors in play

Well I think the whole point is that it's not easy. ESPECIALLY since you don't know whether you'll have the side effects or not. Could be perfect, could make you feel like ****. You never know until you do it. Even then, a year in, if your body changes on its own, the side effects can change as well.

Yes I'm coming into this discussion late but WTF at this convo. Birth Control vs. Vascetomy? I can understand if it was getting tubes tied vs Vascetomy because of the invasive surgery involved for women but how the hell are people thinking that a Vascetomy is anywhere equal or less of an issue to Birth Control

No one is, lol.

216 at the beginning of the convo thought I meant a vasectomy when I meant something else.

Edit: I mean maybe they are, but that wasn't the initial conversation or the initial comparison.
