In all seriousness, I actually think I may have you beat in the totally messed up childhood dept. So sorry for what you went through. The fact that you found a way out is commendable beyond words.

My two suicide attempts around the age of 10-12 didn't work out. Getting a cheap strat copy guitar and buying LZ1 when I was 13 saved my life. Make no mistake, I tried the Bible but it just didn't work for me at the time.
