So it looks like AIM chat has taken over in terms of the number of people using it? Is anyone here using both and can tell me which one i should bother myself with?

EDIT: my AIM screename is the same as it is here.

I never knew what AIM stood for and never bothered to search. and about mIRC is there a Mac version? cz I can't seem to find one that works on my PC.

Thanks. I did get your invite a few days back but there was no one there. I didnt hang around much because i was goin to bed.

Do people still use it?

Yes, I guess you just don't stay up unusually late enough to keep up with the American chat

And i assume its a private room, so I would always need an invite?

I'll just start to stay logged in a bit more.

I never use AIM, so i'm a bit clueless.

It's not private, you don't need an invite. I'm a bit clueless with AIM as well but here's how I always get into the MB chat: select one of your buddies from MB from your list and click 'begin buddy chat' or something like that. Then type in 'musicbanter' as the chat room name. It works for me!

Ah well i only downloaded AIM a couple of weeks ago after reading this thread so i havent actually added anyone yet and no one seemed to be adding to this thread so i think i've signed in maybe twice.

I'll probably try later when people might be on.

EDIT: Apart from KH, he added me i think and tried to invite me.
