Yeah thats awesome S K now somebody answer my question please!!

someonecompletelyrandom 01-31-2011 11:47 PM

Strictly speaking - it's someone who purposes tries to derail conversation by playing devils advocate or making absurdly inflammatory posts to try and get a rise out of people.

More loosly - it's someone who does those things by accident or are just generally disruptive and never offer anything particularly insightful.

Bloozcrooz 01-31-2011 11:55 PM

Thanks for the clarifacation. So would someone who just makes a lot of threads and hops from thread to thread with three word statments qualify as a troll? Or just an idiot? I only ask cause ive noticed it on here before.

someonecompletelyrandom 02-01-2011 12:05 AM

People would probably say troll but id say idiot.

I'm growing a beard. It always ends up the same way: I get sick of the beard. Shave it. feel bad for shaving it. Start again. It's an endless cycle.

I hear ya. I have light hair and I can't grow like a full beard. But I'll let it go for 2 weeks or a little longer sometimes, with intentions of just letting it grow on forever. But at some point it gets itchy, and the feeling of looking like white trash begins creeping in, and I shave it off.

Just wondering, what kind of razors do you guys use? Electric or manual? I actually just use a trimmer and shave my whole face, so there's always a little stubble. I don't like the feeling of being smooth and clean shaven to be honest.

s_k 02-01-2011 05:23 PM

@ Volkslaaf (dutch translation :D) Stop shaving.

TheFolkslave 02-01-2011 05:25 PM

I use shaving cream and a razorblade. My beard grows quite thick and it grows really fast. I've had it for 3-4 weeks now an I look like a gay grizzly lumberjack. I'm thinking about shaving it and sporting onlu moustache like I did for the past 3 months before I shaved them also.

s_k 02-01-2011 05:37 PM

I don't shave, obviously.
But I used to use shampoo instead of shaving cream.
Works for me.

someonecompletelyrandom 02-01-2011 05:39 PM

That pretty much rapes my skin.

The drunk bus at Penn State is a party in itself. I think this was July 4th.

My fondest drunk bus memories were getting into a shoving match with a Phillies fan, after I verbally assaulted a Yankee fan. And my friend doing pull-ups on the bars along the roof while people counted. And trying to smoke a menthol and drink a 40 before the bus driver kicked me off. And on a weekend over Christmas break getting on the bus holding two 12 packs and the bus was full of elementary school kids on a field trip.

Oh wow lucky me..they are showing a groundhog day marathon today. One after the other all day on encore. Im going to try an suffer through the whole thing just to see how big of loser I really am. Surley if I can endure this there is no limit to the amount of pain that I can encounter. (Barring a Pauly Shore marathon)

Lemme know how many you make it through. Or how far you get through the first one until you've either had your fill of Bill Murray for the day or remember that you've already seen the movie 800 times. Lol, I swear I've seen that movie more than any other movie excluding A Christmas Story, which I made a vow to never watch again about 2 years ago.

 Pauly Shore. I forgot he still existed. I hope that marathon would include classics such as Jury Duty, In the Army Now (featuring the always straight and comedic Andy ****) and of course Encino Man. Please tell me you've seen Encino Man, what a ridiculous movie.

ThePhanastasio 02-02-2011 07:53 AM

Ah yes, Son-in-law and Biodome as well. I like Encino Man cause you have Rudy, Pauly Shore AND Brendan Frasier, who was in the most unintentionally (I think, i dunno) hilarious sports movie ever, The Scout. Ever seen it boozinbloozin?

I am guessing not so let me lay out this ridiculous sports movie for you. This scout for the Yankees gets fired. He goes to Venezuela and sees this amazing pitcher who is regarded as a God. He is a white guy (Brandan Frasier) named Steve Nebraska. He is like Babe Ruth combined with Nolan Ryan. He convinces him to come to the MLB and he works out in front of all the team owners. He pitches to an MLB hitter (can't remember who, keith Hernandez maybe) and just dominates him with 105MPH fastballs. Then hits off an MLB pitcher and hits balls literally OUT of Yankee stadium from BOTH sides of the plate. Lol, so yes he is a switch hitting power hitter who also throws 105MPH fastballs.

To top it all off, he has mental problems and his first career start is in the World Series for the Yankees. He freaks out before the game and runs to the top of the stadium (like standing on the actual roof). A helicopter gets him and brings him to the mound lol. That somehow calms his down and he goes on to throw a PERFECT game. And by that, I mean he throws every pitch a strike and strikes out every batter. He also hits a game winning homer. The last pitch of the game sends the catcher and umpire clear to the backstop, it's like 109MPH I think. The Ump is like "I couldnt even see it!" and the catcher is like "Umm I think it was a strike!" So the umpire takes his word for it and calls strike three and the yankees win. Just such a hilarious and ridiculous sports movie.

Man the way your describing it seems like I may have seen it before. I cant be sure though. If I have its faded enough that it would be new again. I was grounded a lot as a child so I was a movie nut. Even though I wasnt suppose to be watching t.v. They werent gonna take the time to unplugg my t.v. So when it wasnt football season I was wrapped up in some kind of movie.

Dirty 02-02-2011 08:29 AM

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I was wrong, the last pitch is actually 112MPH. And it's against Ozzie Smith who they portray as a slugger. Ozzie Smith was literally one of the least powerful hitters of all-time.

That little segments not resurrecting any sketchy memories yet. The name Steve Nebraska is though...im going to have to watch the whole thing now. Did you see the movie with him and the totally hot chick Elizabeth Hurley? He got granted 3 wishes I think in exchange for his soul...It was pretty much along the same cheesy outline, but one of those you cant turn off either. Every time he keeps making a wish something goes terribly wrong cause he's not specific enough in the details of his wish. He is mainly trying to wish his way into the arms of his dream girl. Like his first wish is something to the tune of being powerful and rich. So when she grants the wish he wakes up as a columbian drug lord. He is married to his dream girl, but she's like banging the lawn boy or something, and then the cops raid his mansion. Its pretty amusing I think.

The Batlord 02-05-2011 11:29 AM

I don't understand all the Pauly Shore hate. Of course his movies are terrible. Why bother pointing this out? If you don't like watching terrible movies then Pauly Shore should be so far beneath your notice that you should not even acknowledge his existence. If however, you enjoy unplugging your brain for an hour and a half, then Pauly Shore is a genius only to be surpassed by Keanu Reaves.

Not offended. I would have to be a strange bird to get offended about Pauly Shore.

Sansa Stark 02-05-2011 11:27 PM

Pauly Shore cannot transcend Keanu,

Keanu has his own meme

Sometimes a morning sky can be a combination of serene and surreal. Such a sky perhaps existed before sunrise this past Sunday as viewed from a snowy slope in eastern Switzerland. Quiet clouds blanket the above scene, lit from beneath by lights from the village of Trübbach. A snow covered mountain, Mittlerspitz, poses dramatically on the upper left, hovering over the small town of Balzers, Liechtenstein far below. Peaks from the Alps can be seen across the far right, just below the freshly rising Sun. Visible on the upper right are the crescent Moon and the bright planet Venus. Venus will remain in the morning sky all month, although it will likely not be found in such a photogenic setting.
