Except we're all pale, pathetic hipsters except for the ones of us that are European, middle-aged metalheads, but either way, none of us look like this.

Except for Vanilla, who is some sort of freakish escaped experiment from the Perfect Woman laboratory.

Dr.Seussicide 08-27-2009 07:14 PM

Plus I have a penis, so I guess that kinda rules me out from looking like them as well... in a relatively normal world, I mean

TumorAttitude 08-27-2009 07:18 PM

Stop, quick, before someone posts a shirtless David Hasslehoff or whoever the kids are lusting over these days.....

Dr.Seussicide 08-27-2009 07:21 PM

Hahahaha, I swear I hesitated posting that, but I did it anyway to greet the flaming, lol

Btw, David Hasslehoff in that spongebob movie is by far the most messed up thing I have ever seen in my life... =/

TumorAttitude 08-27-2009 08:11 PM

Nobody's going to flame you. I may post binary in your visitor message box, but as a group, we abstain from flaming.

Dr.Seussicide 08-27-2009 08:14 PM

Lol, binary? :S You got me there!

Good thing I know Boolean algebra then (sorry it's a math thing =/ )

I barely pay attention to the brands when I go shopping for clothes but as far as shoes go. I go with DC shoes or Nike SB dunks. I have been eye-ing this pair of Fallen shoes for two weeks. I might go pick them up today.

aw, my mom has those shoes. that's so funny.

I shop a lot when I travel to Europe, because the clothes there are a lot different than what I usually find in the states. I use to dress sorta grungy, but I sorta gave that up because it annoyed my parents to no end, and I get a lot more **** when I dress more clean cut. I do not identify myself with how I dress and I hate it more than anything when people judge people with how they dress.

I guess i'll type where the recites in my wallet say I last shopped (keep in mind I was in NY a couple of weeks ago, so it's a bit more everywhere than usual):

1. Saks Fifth Avenue
2. Gucci
3. Lacoste
4. Uniquites
5. Burberry
6. Cat's Banjo
7. Chanel
8. Tod's
9. Coach
10. Mango
11. Kate Spade
12. Barney's
13. Missoni
14. Second Half Chance
15. Century 21
16. Pucci

I prefer the local thrift store and rarely, Urban Outfitters or American Apparell. But that's if I have a million bucks on hand.

I really love H&M, but I don't particularly have a preference. I go for what's cheapest.

VeggieLover 09-05-2009 11:01 PM

thank god we don't all look like that. I think i might have to go hurl in a bucket. In fact, if i all of a sudden woke up ultra "beautiful" with a lot of money and no longer looked/dressed like me, i think i would have to drown myself. *shudders*

if you care to look, go to the likes/dislikes thread.

Dislikes:

yes. They're just a bunch of t shirts stores. And overpriced T shirt stores. Who wants to pay 40$ for a t shirt from a store? If it's from a concert or somewhere cool you want to remember then pricing is negotiable.

I wear mostly thrift, h&m,Urban outfitters, and stuff I make myself. I am a girl just fyi.

storymilo 09-11-2009 09:50 PM

I have an ugly vintage blazer that I wear just to piss off anyone who I am hanging out with. Besides that I pretty much wear jeans and band t-shirts

That is BS. Hollister, AE, Abercrombie and other stores always have tons of shirts that are $15-20. Most of the stuff they sell is expensive, but you can find a bunch of stuff for cheap if you just look. I have found more expensive clothes at Walmart tbh.

And i have never seen a $40 shirt at any one of these stores.

Farfisa 09-11-2009 10:35 PM

It's very hard to find shirts that fit me at stores like Hollister, AE, or Abercrombie... damn it sucks being skinny.

Abercrombie & Fitch > Women > Classic Shirts

you're right. I was being generous. 60$ is more like it.
It's true they have cheaper stuff too, but personally I find it pretty generic looking, nothing you can't find at Target for a third of the price.

Last time I checked skinny was abercrombie's m.o.
But I don't frequent their stores so I'm probably wrong.

Farfisa 09-12-2009 11:32 AM

I'm 6'3"... stores like that tend to have stuff for people of the average height.

FETCHER. 09-12-2009 07:43 PM

Lol, I know exactly what you mean. I'd see a generic pair of jeans for next to nothing but I'd hesitate to buy it, but if I see a pair of Guess jeans for quintuple the price! I quickly pull out my credit card! :banghead: Those sons of bitches

its a total impulse, like i NEED to buy them, but a good pair of normal jeans which probably look very similar, dont fit as well or dont look as good.
thats what i tell myself anyways

Freebase Dali 09-13-2009 01:25 PM

The ingenious marketing strategists for designer brand clothing are gleefully fingering their beards and laughing maniacally.

Dr.Seussicide 09-13-2009 01:29 PM

...and so they toil, with heads held high, patronizing their customers as we do our peers and sleep ever so soundly as they dive onto their beds, knowing it was a job well done.

Freebase Dali 09-13-2009 01:39 PM

But their ever-increasing bank accounts and their morally arbitrary lucrative work-place protocols do nothing to satisfy humanity's aching hunger for true sustainence in a world populated by their designer fashioned masquerade models, each of which is a constant reminder that they are slowly making the world look better while it's just feeling that much worse.

Dr.Seussicide 09-13-2009 04:42 PM

If it weren't for facades and the biting of lips, your mother wouldn't have truly known how much you hated her in your childhood naivety for the every times that she said no. Be grateful that we don't always express how we feel or portray our inwardly emotions.

FETCHER. 09-13-2009 05:32 PM

look at the bright side.. least the marketing team are doing their jobs :O
