Shoes its all about the nikes. only when they're on sale cause I'm not paying ****ing 80 bucks for a pair of shoes. i like flannel shirts, some thrift store, but I have one from american eagle that's really nice. I have one sweater, it's really nice, not sure what brand cause the tag was ripped off when I bought it. I have 2 second hand roots hoodies but they look stupid as **** so I don't really wear them. For jeans I usually try to get the nicest ones from walmart, i don't really like them but most other jeans are too expensive. T shirts I usually just wear thrift store stuff, but I think that some of them are really cool. I found one obey shirt that's bad ass as hell. I have a jansport backpack that I really like, it looks sick. I also have a sweet trucker jacket my uncle gave me from the 80s, even though it looks pretty redneck. I'm a big fan of snapback hats too, I have 2. Overall I tend to try to wear baggier clothes but not too bad.
i like the way i dress. |
Express. I'm up for anything though.
To be honest, I put more thought into my fragrance than into my clothes. |
since i buy most of my Ts from third party licensees, i never bother with the brands
it's too hot to wear any other kind of clothing in the weather here i'm usually in a t and shorts |
I buy clothes from thrift stores h&m urban outfitters volcom and guess and I think bluenotes a few times. Outside of those stores I don't know anything else really.

I definitely love Giordano and Lacoste!

I don't understand why people pay top dollar for otherwise normal T-Shirts or Hoodies emblazoned with a logo of a particular brand. Is it a form of conspicuous consumption relevant only to a particular subculture?
So, ok, you like Carhartt; but what is the point of buying a sweatshirt that says, "Carhartt"? The entire point of Carhartt is the clothes are durable and utilitarian; yet, somehow, this seems to have been transformed into a prestige brand of such magnitude people will pay top dollar for a sweatshirt simply because it says... "Carhartt". |

But the funny thing is, really expensive clothes don't normally have the brand name on it. |
LOL. About the only brand I stick to are Bonds for their plain cotton t-shirts.

Whatever I can grab for under €25 in Primark (which is usually Ceaderwood State) and Dunnes, If I'm feeling particularly fancy then it's off to Jack And Jones. Cheap **** FTW.
|
I shop mostly at Bluenotes because it's cheap and it looks good.

http://s.stpost.com/eccStoreFront/pr.../f_2122Y_1.jpg Don't get me wrong, I agree with you to some regards about people overpaying for under performing clothing, but I'm a little bewildered why you'd use Carhartt as an example when I think it's probably one of the best quality brands on the market place. I even like how they're starting to expand out and be thought of as an "everyday" brand of clothing than just a working brand. It's not like we're ever going to see an Ed Hardy style shirt carrying the Carhartt brand name. |
^^^ Pete, sorry for not explaining more detail, but I was referring to actual Carhartt sweatshirts that say, "CARHARTT", in very large type that stretches across chest, from nipple to nipple if you will. I agree, generally speaking, Carhartt makes very durable clothing; hence my confusion as to why people would pay carhartt prices for a regular sweatshirt emblazoned with the logo.
