What's your favorite clothing brand?
Well I'll do my top 5 favorite:
1. Christian Audigier 2. Ed Hardy 3. Converse 4. Ralph Lauren 5. Lacoste Yeah, I kinda love clothes a lot, lol, so what're some of your favs? |
I don't have favorites per se, I just wear whatever looks good from West 49. That said, I generally wear Vans, Hurley, Billabong, and I buy stuff from Bluenotes sometimes.
|
Oh yeah, I also like hollister and quicksilver as well, they've got some pretty good stuff! :D
|
I usually shop at thrifstores, but I'll buy **** from Nastygal vingage occasionally. Gotta keep up with the hot new homeless lesbian hipster styles, guys.
|
I generally just wear plain shirts or band shirts but I think Oakley is pretty cool. I get all my jeans from this hippie store at the mall cause they have really nice stuff. Last time I was in there they played In a Jar by Dinosaur Jr.
|
I am not into clothing brands at all really and just buy what I think looks good on me. I do however only wear Animal watches. My current one is now ten years old and still going despite only costing £90 and for trainers I generally only wear certain trusted brands (DC, Duffs, Vans etc).

Jeans/Obscure band t-shirt with cowboy boots and shades always seems to work for me.
I'm a fashion wasteland I guess. |
Gstar Raw
Ed Hardy Abercrombie GioGoi these are my favourite, doesnt mean my wardrop is full of it right enough, i have a few pieces though mostly gstar or giogoi :) |
Ooooo, I forgot Abercrombie, lol. And well, Kenneth Cole for the more professional look :) And Steve Madden shoes :D
|
I hate wearing 'brands.' So pointless and commercial and commodified. I hate it more when people have stickers of clothing brands on their cars and stuff.
I buy most of my clothes from random boutiques or op shops. |
I dunno... I've grown somewhat fond of clothes and fashion and the like, so I guess I've come to enjoy the added commercialization that comes with it.
|
Abercrombie, American Eagle, Aeropostale = dull clothes for snotty kids
|
I don't gravitate towards any brands in particular but I have some Florsheim shoes like these (except in brown) and I love them. I'd be only too happy to own another pair.

I don't give two lights about what brand of clothing I wear. Comfy, loose jeans worn with a belt and any shirt will do me.
However with shoes I have a tendency to get Chucks or Reeboks. |
jeans + t shirt
|
day to day stuff i wear is just high street clothing, like river island, republic, new look, USC clothing :)
|
never wore brands ... i just go for the cool T-shirt.

I'm not one to promote certain brands by wearing items with huge logos or names on them, that's for damn sure. And I generally buy what I think looks good and/or looks good on me, regardless of brand.
That said, over the years I've liked jeans from Express Men (aka Structure for you old peeps like me), but lately they've had a lot with fake folds, holes, annoying logos and what not. I like the more subtle and basic ones. Over the past 10-15 years I've also liked their shirts, again the more subtle and non-douchey ones. I also discovered this store in Vancouver BC called RW & Co that really caught my attention the first time I went. Great colors not often seen at other stores, great detail, the clothes are relatively conservative but with the right amount of non-traditional detail that they appeal to me. I always look forward to a visit to Vancouver so I can hop in the store. Prices are reasonable too. The only problem is that their jeans (and probably all pants) don't offer different lengths, they are only differentiated by waist size. This is a big problem for me, as I'm tall and so all the pants are too short. |

I stay away from brands on the whole. D&C, Prada etc are just different ways of spelling 'twat'.
The only time i consider a brand is K-Swiss for footwear but thats because I do actually like the way they look, though I could care less about the brand. I'd rather spend thousands on better things than my clothes. If you're buying a brand purely for the label, then it's yet another shallow way of trying to get people to like you for completely the wrong reasons. If it looks good, buy it and wear it, but forget the brand. |
People who buy boring clothes from those prep stores really need to remember that.
While I do like my skate-brand names, I don't buy it purely for the name. I make sure that the clothes fit and look good. Bright colors is pretty much a must. |
I don't really have any favourites and am usually too poor to buy good brands anyway, but if I have a choice I like to buy Australian owned.
|
Ah clothes brands! I'd have to say that at least 90% (probably more) of my wardrobe was previously owned. I shop at thrift stores and garage sales and get hand-me-downs from my friends who have jobs (woo!) and who decide to buy an entire new wardrobe for college (i know, who does that!) As far as brands, i dont think i could tell you the brand of anything I own. If i do happen to buy something at a conventional store, i generally avoid wearing it because it doesn't go with anything (including my personallity) or to avoid looking like a wannabe (which, i am sooo not). I'd make my own clothes before i resorted to shopping at the nearest mall (which, unfourtunatly, is very much devoid of cute botiques and hippy stores :( )

Vans and Goodwill is all you need.
|
I get most of my clothing from those second hand shops/ "recycle your wardrobe" type places. Everything's insanely cheap and there's always plenty of variety. I usually pay attention to what brand of shoes I buy though, gotta rep the swoosh every now and then.

I normally wear an assorted collection of concert tee's, blue jeans and athletic shorts or my vast collection of various dress clothes depending on the occassion. When I'm not in uniform that is. |
I swear by T-shirts and own approx 40. Some rare and web only designs. I have a really cool colour Haze T shirt from Germany and a Ministry T shirt that is no longer available, not even from their own website. Yes I am sad!
|
Pac Sun is where it's at yo. I go there when I can, but other then that I'll just hit up stores around town.
|
I actually just ordered a t-shirt with the same Hendrix design as 333 has in her room. I excited.
|
I don't go by brand; I go by price-tag, size, and ensure there are no bright colors. In that order.
Although I did pick up a pair of some new Jncos that came out... they fit amazingly and they're low cut, so my noodle bulges and brings all the girls to the yard. Damn right. |

Back up in Canada I use to do most of my shopping at a place called Mark's Work Warehouse (Partly because I got 10% of everything in store for working at a nearby lumberyard) but mostly because all the clothing there was practical. You could find your blank shirts that were all cotton, came in different colours, and fit well. They had great selection of jeans and cargo pants, as well as a great seasonal wear so you could get thermal shirts in the winter time and shirts that breathed a bit more for the summer. I also got my awesome Timberland work boots from there a few years ago that still fit and feel as comfortable as the day I bought them. Unfortunately they're only based in Canada (or at least not in my area of the States) so I haven't been there since February.
When I'm in the States I usually just go to Kohl's because they have a pretty large selection of things at pretty reasonable prices. My only real beef with them is that their t-shirts have far too much in the way of graphics on them and their blank ones are usually around the same price, they also don't have much in the way of work clothing, something I like to wear because of it's comfort and durability. I will occasionally go to American Eagle to see what they've got on clearance, however the past year or two have been busts because all their jeans have the acid wash or the huge fake holes and it's just like... yeah no I'm not wearing those. |
I despise the trend for ragged jeans.
|
I buy jeans from Kohl's because they have sales where they cost about $10 a pair. I never wear shorts, not because I think they aren't cool, but because I used to skate a lot and still do a bit. Try shaving a bit of the skin of the fronts of your shins and you'll understand. As for shirts, right now I wear a bunch of cheap button up t-shirts I got from K-Mart because I can't get t-shirts on over my neck brace. Normally, I wear a bunch of t-shirts from concerts or with bands on them, and the occasional skate company logo pasted on the front. If I can get them cheap. Because to be honest, why pay a lot for clothes that really don't look any different when you could instead spend money on concerts or records or doing other fun stuff? And by the way, Abercrombie smells like someone that is wearing far too much perfume or cologne.
|
so does hollister. I can smell them from 100 yards away and it takes like, 5 washes to get the terrible stuff out (i bought one shirt there once cuz it was only 5 bucks)
